Valley Country Club — Restaurant in Warwick

My husband and I got married at Valley Country Club last Friday and let me just say our experience was AMAZING. Melodi Caruso helped every step of the way during our planning and was attentive to any questions and concerns we had. She was a huge help the night of, along with Jody and the rest of the staff! Because of them everything went flawlessly! Jody catered to my husband and I, all night! She got us refreshments during our photos, she made our plates of food for us, she cleaned up after us... anything we needed, she was right there! It was like being Queen and King for a night with how amazing the staff treated us. We even had guests complimenting the staff on how quickly they would pick up an empty plate. I had one guest say “as soon as I was done eating and pushed my plate to the side a staff member was right there to get the dirty dish out of my way.” I can’t say enough about how amazing the staff are! The grounds are also amazingly beautiful! A gorgeous place, inside and out, to get married at, any time of the year! I will recommend this venue to anyone getting married in the area. Not to mention, the price for everything that was included was phenomenal! 5 stars...

I just had my wedding there on Saturday, October 27, 2018. Steve was so beyond helpful and Meoldi was great too. I had almost 200 guests and it still felt comfortable in the main ballroom. All of my guests had nothing but great things to say about the food! Our entree choices were baked stuffed chicken with spinach and sausage stuffing or backed scrod. Our sides included red bliss mashed potatoes and green beans. No one had anything bad to say about any of the food!! We had a couple guests that were gluten free and a few that were vegan, they made it very accommodating for anyone with dietary restrictions. We originally wanted to have our ceremony outside, but Mother Nature has its own plan, a Nor’easter decided to come piledriving through. We also wanted to have our cocktail hour outside but they gave us a refund for the deck fee and we had a great night despite the rain and winds! We had the venue until 11 and they did not make us pull the plug DIRECTLY at 11 they let us have just a couple more songs. I am so very happy with our choice of venue for our wedding. Attended a company Christmas party. Lackluster venue. Staff was incompetent and undertrained. Bar staff was extremely underwhelming. Asked a bartender over the age of 50 about their IPA’s… after shuffling off to a cooler, not on tap, mutters something about “is Stella a ipa?”

The last straw was after going up for our fourth drink and having the same bartender serves three others who came to bar after us.. we were with someone who got served s drink and then the bartender served three other customers before returning and taking our drink order. This was also in the midst of having our drinks messed up and watching this bartender head off in a completely different direction of the patron the drink was intended before. Sticky floors in the bathroom. Staff serving dinner looking at people like they have three heads when asking which dishes were being put out.

Overall a very underwhelming experience. Would not recommend this venue for anyone for any event. Loose doorknobs. Chipped paint. Musty smells. Poor layout. Staff and patrons continually bumping into tables due to...
