Dewey's Pizza - Dublin — Restaurant in Washington Township

I have been going to Dewey's Pizza for the last 2 years.

Even through all that time, nothing has changed. The pizza is still the same it was every other time, and I hope it stays that way.

This place has some of the best pizza I've ever had. The dough is made in-house; heck, you can even see them tossing the pizza in the back windows! The sauce is great. It's not to sweet, not to salty, not too spicy, and not too mild. It's very well balanced. The cheese is amazing. I haven't had all the pizzas, but the standard cheese on their pizzas is of very high quality. I especially like the Ricotta cheese on the meatball pizza. It's not grainy at all! I'd say it has more of the texture of melted Provolone cheese.

The service is awesome! They seem to work in teams rather than only working alone. I guarantee you, If your drink is empty, they will fill it up and have it back in less than 2 minutes. This is the soda I'm talking about. I wouldn't know about alcoholic drinks obviously. I'm assuming it's the same quality of service.

Overall, it's a great restaurant! It's not big or anything, but maybe that's a good thing. They seem to have good control over their storefront. The cost isn't too bad, at about 13 dollars for a salad and pizza. You can't really put a price on good pizza. The order I usually put in is a side Caesar salad, and a 17" of either the pepperoni pizza, or the meatball pizza. This is plenty of food for anyone. If you can't eat the whole pizza, it's good the second time around too.

Beware: you may not get to eat your meal in peace. My boyfriend and I went to Dewey’s for our anniversary today, where we received great food but not so great service. As soon as we got our food, we felt very rushed, as if the employees wanted us out of there. Other than us, there were only two other tables occupied while we were in there. There were also about ten employees just standing around doing nothing. I would kind of understand the rushing part if the restaurant was busier and the waiters needed tables, but this was not the case. I’ve never experienced this at any other restaurant that I’ve been to. To add, my boyfriend did not want a refill for his drink, yet four different employees came to our table and asked if he did, even after him saying no. This was all in a matter of 3-5 minutes. Clearly before we were done eating, we had another employee ask us if we needed a box. She came back with one and then preceded to take our plates, even though I was still visibly eating off mine. It seemed nice the first time coming there to eat but after this time, we probably won’t be back. I don’t think the employees meant to be rude or anything. I do think the service would’ve been better if we had one waiter checking on us every now and then, instead of five coming up to us almost every moment. I was dining on a first date at your Dublin location and had an amazing experience. It was my first time at Dewey's Pizza. The atmosphere was great and I really like the music they were playing throughout. The service was outstanding. We were greeted in less than a minute and we were quite impressed with their knowledge of beer and wine. We both ordered the Dewey's seasonal beer. It's always nice when the server is passionate in what they sell. We decided to try out their Edgar Allan Poe as the server mentioned it was one of the more popular sells. We also tried their seasonal harvest salad which is probably the best salad I've ever had. Salads were delivered in just a few short minutes. We never had to ask for a refill or a box. Everyone working there was quite pleasant. The open windowed kitchen was awesome. The kids in the lobby were having a blast with the kitchen guys. They were quite entertaining.
