New pizza place in Washington Township. The interior is nice and clean. However, it didn't smell clean, I think there was a backed up pipe or something, oh well, it happens. Anyway, smell aside we had a very good time there. Very friendly and courteous, made sure you had what you needed, stopped by to check in, whole deal. They make a Detroit style pizza that we had to try. It was fantastic. Don't know much about that style, and it's for sure not the pizza we know and love, but man that is some good stuff. 👌. It's a must try. We will be craving this pizza, it's like that. We also ordered the fries with Cooper sharp on them. Wasn't impressed, not so much with the cheese, just with the style/ cook of it. But that's personal, just won't order them often. All in all, we look forward to ordering again. I wish them the best of luck, this areas brutal for new pizza joints.

First time here so I thought to myself I should get two pies. I ALWAYS try the original pie at a pizza place if it's my first time there. If someone can't get the original pie excellent, then I don't wanna try anything else. I got the Wifey and old school. About the Wifey, very unique pizza in terms of the smell and taste. I liked it but not enough to buy again. Mostly because the chicken was tasteless, no or very little cheese so all the toppings fell off when grabbing a slice, the banan peppers seem to overwhelm everything else. I think it needs to go back to the drawing board. As for the old school pie, I liked it a lot, crust was thick but not crispy and doighy. Cheese and sauce was just enough and next time I go there, I'll get another old school and maybe the grandma pie.

We got the House pie with half pepperoni. The pepperoni are little cups which we loved. The house has two types of mozz, Romano, basil, and sauce. The cheese blend was really good. You could taste the Romano but it wasn’t overwhelming. The sauce had a nice tartness to it. The crust was so good. Thin, crispy and a slight chew but nothing crazy. I ate half the pie shamelessly. So glad a good pizza place is nearby me finally! They have a nice looking Detroit pie we might try when the weather is cooler as it looked like a pure brick of cheese and I just can’t handle that in the heat. 😋 Staff was very lovely and chatted with us about their food and how it’s a very family oriented business, which we loved!

Pizza rating only first time customer. Over 10 years ago when I was temporarily living in Michigan, Detroit Style Pizza (DSP) became my new favorite before it was ever a thing at all back east. I thought when I moved back home about 8 years ago thought my times with DSP were over with unless I went back to MI to visit. Then DSP started catching on a bit more nationally. My only option then was Goldbelly for original DSP frozen by mail, which was good, but expensive. When I then saw Polizzi s on my hunt for some new pizza places with not only DSP but also brick oven I had to try. Maybe it is some nostalgia driving this review but no aspects of the pie or the establishment let me down. Friendly and extremely quick (note it was not peak hours at about 3 in the afternoon). Sauce is perfect balance of savory with hint of sweet. Pepperoni a plenty, thick and crispy. And each slice/square was plenty filling. It's 6 large thick pieces per pie and just the way it's meant to be, 4 corners and 2 sides... Because they nailed that signature crust. My one regret is that I do like to try different local pizza joints on Pizza Night, but that may be in danger. Will be hard to not go back to Polizzi s again. Sorry we ate it...

In response to the previous comment:

I never told you that I ever in my life heard of anyone putting bacon in their vodka sauce so please don't put those words in my mouth. To be clear, you never apologized nor did you mention to me that this specific pizza had meat in it. As a matter of fact the young lady is the one who did not disclose this information. When I called to inquire she said verbatim "I believe the sauce is cooked in bacon". This is the moment I became upset. The only time a disclosure was given about pizza with meat is when I asked you specifically what another slice of pizza contained and you said chicken. So why would your employee not believe when asked about the slice that she should disclose that it had had bacon prior to the purchase ? That makes zero sense. You dismissed me on the phone and went on to say "you're not McDonalds you don't have time to disclose all ingredients in products". In no way shape or form were you empathetic to the problem at hand. Perhaps if I asked you directly about the specific pizza instead of your employee, we wouldn't be having this conversation, but here we are. Again, you have definitely made my decision to give small business owners a chance a...

Polizzi's has quickly become my go-to pizza spot in the area. The ingredients are very high quality, and it shows in everything I've tried there. Their crust is phenomenal, every sauce I've tried is great, and there's an awesome variety of toppings to try out. Love that there are 3 different styles of pizza to try as well.

Service has always been great, and my order is always ready promptly. I stopped in to pickup a pie this past Friday night with my infant in her carseat and one of the girls working behind the counter was kind enough to offer to carry the pizza to my car for me. They seemed pretty busy at the time so this was much appreciated!

They were also a go to spot when I had to cut out dairy for several months due to my breastfeeding daughter's allergy. I was majorly missing pizza and their tomato pie (no pecorino) helped to soften the blow! I emailed the owner to confirm no other sources of dairy in there (as of that time at least) and received a fast, helpful response.

Overall just a big fan of this spot and so happy...
