Don't believe the haters on 21st Amendment. I was hesitant to come here because of the reviews. I have to say, not a single negative review was justified. The food was not "meh". My wife had a sriracha chicken pasta, which probably should have just been called arrabiata pasta. Sriracha makes it sound like Asian ketchup IMO. It was much better than that, and my wife really enjoyed it. I had the roasted herb chicken and was impressed with it. The carrots were nice, whole baby ones with the green tip. The fingerling potatoes were purple here and there, giving a lot of nice color to the dish with the carrots. The chicken was excellent! It was both a small boneless breast and a bone-in leg. There was a great sauce for everything. I mean, I had my expectations set for just super basic bar food. This isn't a lively part of town. There's no night life at all. So I told myself that this bar obviously doesn't have to try very hard. Where else would people go who are staying at the hotel? The nearest nice dining is a 20min walk away at The Wharf. But I'm telling you, the chef here cares about the food, and it's obvious. I don't know if this place just gets too busy on the weekends and people expect magic out of them to get their drinks immediately, but on a Tuesday night it was a very pleasant surprise for us to get a 5-star dinner when we were expecting to get a 3-star. Maybe something has changed recently, a new chef or new management, but whatever people are saying is "broken" has been fixed. I would...
Read moreOh. My. Gosh. This place is absolutely amazing!! We were disappointed because we were just going to grab Quiznos before heading out but they locked their doors 15 minutes early. I'm no longer disappointed though, because we came here instead and the food is sooooo good!! Maissa greeted us and was super sweet. I had crab soup and grilled cheese, which was so good I know I'll have cravings for it later. The French fries are delicious and not greasy like most fries. Dipped in their honey mustard I'm in heaven! My husband had the bison burger and ate it with all the condiments, which he never does. He said the favor was so good that the condiments simply complimented it rather than overwhelm him like they usually do. My Aunt got the chicken sandwich and while the Chipotle mayo was to much for her (she can't tolerate any level of spice, though I couldn't even tell it was spicy) our waiter was super accommodating. He bought me a sample of the soup before I ordered, put all the condiments on the side for my Aunt, and even brought out an extra honey mustard since everyone loved it so much! Very very happy with out visit and out waiter Saidi! My only complaint, and it's a small one, is it seemed our waiter was working with several tables and it took a little extra time to get to go boxes and the check. Still an amazing experience and will recommend to anyone I know...
Read moreI don't often write reviews but I was pretty disappointed here.
The menu is very limited, they don't have any drinks whatsoever aside from water and alcohol. The waitress came to the table and just stood there in silence until I finally say we're ready to order, I get the Strip Steak and my Grandmother gets the ribs, then the waitress leaves without saying anything.
When we finally got our food, the presentation was... interesting.. My steak was entirely flavorless and was 90% fat The asparagus side was barely cooked and the mac n cheese side is literally burnt Mac n cheese wrapping a mozzarella stick. My Grandmother's ribs aren't even ribs, they're like 2 fist sized chunks of pot roast but they at least have some sort of flavor but her sides are both the same as mine.
We ask waitress to get us some more water and she takes the water and doesn't come back for quite awhile and we had to remind her, only then did we actually get our water back.
Then they give us an almost $80 bill for food the quality of which I could get from Walmart. I walked out of the restaurant still hungry as the quantity of food is so little. As a tourist, I would not recommend this place. I'd much rather go to the McDonalds down the street considering the quality of...
