There’s no shortage of good delis in Washington, D.C.- Carl’s Subbs, Mother Rucker’s, Mangialardo’s, among others. 2 Sisters Deli may not stand with the giants, but it’s a worthy contender, especially for a no-frills deli in an office building. Surrounded by government buildings, it’s one of the few places to grab a good local lunch that’s not a chain. Stopping in for lunch, here’s my experience.

  1. Food: The line is long, but it moves quickly during lunch with so many people taking orders. Know what you want so you can order right when they ask. They sell classic sandwiches, specialty sandwiches, melts, and wraps.

I ordered the Wall Street Club without tomato and it was good. It comes cut in half and was the perfect amount of food. I added a fountain drink and chips (Sun Chips).

  1. Drinks: There’s coffee, bottled drinks, and a Pepsi soda fountain.

  2. Service: It’s quick and no time for conversation, but it was a good experience.

  3. Space: It’s no-frills and there are a few tables with chairs in the back if you’re one of the few who don’t get your...

I stumbled upon this deli when I first started working in the neighborhood in 2010, and I've been a loyal customer ever since... The staff are friendly and efficient, and despite the presence of lines during the height of the breakfast and lunch hours, I'm always able to get in, grab my food for takeaway, and out quickly. For those that would like to eat on-site/nearby, there is a small dining area in the deli and publically accessible outdoor courtyards that can be used during the warmer months of the year. The menu is made up of both non-rotating and rotating selections spanning from generous deli sandwiches to Korean Thursdays (I love when the kimchi, kimbap and other Korean favorites come out on Thursdays). Breakfast is also solid here--my personal favorite is the potato, egg and cheese breakfast wrap with bacon. The deli also offers a wide selection of beverages, chips, and sweet items (they usually have Austrian Manner here, and the house-baked cookies are large). 2 Sisters Deli is a solid choice for those looking for a place to eat in the...

DELICIOUS sandwiches, wraps, soups and hot food bar and salad bar - great prices I highly recommend the Wall Street Deli for the yummy breakfasts and lunches at great prices. The food is always so fresh, and you can see them baking the chicken in the morning that will be used for the lunch time soups and lunch time hot entrees. The wraps can be customized, but I love the peanut chicken wrap. The reuben sandwich is also delicious. The hot food bar changes daily with anything from ribs, chicken, quesadillas, to Korean specialties, Asian dumplings and egg rolls. It is also great to support the two sisters who own the deli instead...

Amazing find near the National Mall, next door to FEMA. This place has limited tables for dining in but it seems most of their business is takeout anyway; there were open tables both times we ate here. The food is freshly prepared and served with generous portions for an unbelievable price. Breakfast plate with scrambled eggs, ham and hashbrowns was less than $6. You walk down the line to place your order, then pay at the end of the line and take your food to a table. Servers were fast, polite and helpful.

Good prices, freshly made sandwiches. My group got the Reuben, Chicken Caesar Wrap, and the Italian. The dressing in the Italian was too spicy for most of us. The Chicken Caesar Wrap was also different with black olives, tomatoes, and feta cheese. Meat was generous in all the sandwiches. Would definitely order here again. Short walk to National Mall where we picnicked. There were a few tables inside the restaurant but it was too warm and crowded to eat in.
