Aura Bar & Lounge — Restaurant in Washington

We attended Bollywood after party, location is upper Wisconsin Avenue. Place was well let from outside and well decorated and offered 2 dance floors, decent drinks in plastic cups $12+ tax=$17. Croud was okay but the DJ needs to GO (change him urgently) he is a rucky and not ready for the DJ for a club yet, songs played were old, bekwas, DJ does not know how to move the, DJ was dancing and satisfied with his songs only... croud hated his choice of songs, no new and recent songs were played, but all 70's & 80's... with many English songs of 80's, 70's in a Bollywood paid party..... Bekwas DJ... will never go his...

We LOVE this restaurant. Get the kebabs.... They are.EXCEPTIONAL. I don't usually say that about a restaurant. The chef is from Morocco and the lamb kebobs are the BEST we've ever had (and we lived in that region)! Our server Connor was friendly and the service was great. Honestly, just a solid bar and restaurant in a neighborhood that needs more of that. The space is the old Chadwick’s which was also great at that. I know the space has gone through several lives since then, but we went tonight to check it out and, apart from it being a bit chilly, it was exactly what I want for a simple dinner out in the neighborhood -good drinks, good food selection, good food quality (the fries in particular were great), attentive and friendly service. I really hope it survives, and highly recommend...
