Barrilito Bar & Restaurant — Restaurant in Washington

The food at this restaurant is very good. They serve the best Salvadoran food I've had. I ordered a beef and a shrimp tacos, they were delicious. The shrimp picaditas are great. The prices are reasonable. However, they charge you more than the prices they advertise on their menu, I'm not sure if it is to everyone or just if they think you only speak English. Our check came over charged in food and drinks and the excuse was that they rounded up the prices after tax. El día de hoy Sábado 9 de Marzo teniamos un paseo a Washington DC. y con tiempo hicimos arreglos para visitar este lugar ya que vimos en los review de otros clientes fotos de platos que tenían una apariencia deliciosa.

Cuando llegamos, al bajarnos del auto nos dio un fuerte olor a gas pero pensamos que podian ser los calentadores que se usan para el area exterior y aun así decidimos darle la oportunidad.

Cuando llegamos al local, lo primero que pudimos ver es que en la entrada había un Caballero tomado o sea medio ebrio, sentado en unas de las mesas del area exterior del establecimiento las cuales son para el uso de los clientes.

Las dos damas que salieron del local fueron poco profesionales y su servicio fue pesimo, incluso no sabiamos si era un bar o un restaurante pero, sinceramente se veía un local de dudosa procedencia la cual el grupo de 11 personas que estaban en nuestro grupo inmediatamente decidimos retirarnos del lugar.

En esa misma calle 3 establecimientos más abajo de este local encontramos un lugar donde pudimos entrar a comer. No pasaron 10 minutos cuando de repente llegaron varios policias y bomberos a el Barrilito Bar. Sacaron un hombre herido y sinceramente las imagen hablan por si solas.

Excellent staff and pretty good Birria tacos! The outdoor seating (both covered and uncovered) is a huge bonus, especially since the indoor space is quite small. My food was freshly made to order and it was nice outside so I didn't mind waiting. I appreciated that it wasn't busy...
