GLORY TO GOD FOR ALL THINGS! If you have not been providentially guided to this church by God's will or some other navigation tool, then realize you are missing out on the hallmark and cornerstone of the rich life of Russian Orthodox believers amidst a bustling city that hungers for its Savior and Lord! And thanks to Fr. Victor Potapov and Matushka Maria for shepherding all of us! St. John's Cathedral is a cornerstone of the legacy that Christ started and Vladyka John of Shanghai left behind. Come on Sunday to experience the real gateway, Divine Liturgy featuring our number of reverent priests, their matushkas, and families who will make you feel at home. Gaze at beautiful iconography and architecture that is simply beyond this world. Marvel at the stories of the Saints during a private tour with Protodeacon Leonid Mickle. Taste delicious Russian foods that our lunch teams prepare and serve with warmth of Slavic hospitality, authenticity, and love. From start to finish your day will not be complete without lighting a beeswax candle at one of our candlestands. You are able to spiritually commemorate your loved ones in boundless ways for any inention, no matter how small. Be of good cheer, since there are numerous ways to get involved in the parish community of Saint John's, one of TWO stops before you meet the Face of Christ in Paradise! Take this microcosm of a review as an invitation to visit since what you will see and experience will be far more than my words may summarize... SLAVA BOGU ZA VSË! IN XC, IVANKA ♡

Grateful to have Orthodox Churches in the DC metropolitan area. I do have a lot of respect for Fr Victor Potopov, Fr Alexander Resnikoff, and all family and friends of this heavenly cathedral. The choir directors are wonderful where every service I have been to is very heavenly. I enjoy the wonderful food market there. I also enjoy seeing the chapel’s with the cathedral. Marina Cavanaugh is such a wonderful person of the church. I commend Fr Victor for his radio service. I’m hoping we have people preach orthodoxy in all foreign languages.

HOW I LOVED ATTENDING THIS MAGNIFICENT CHURCH AT EASTERTIME! Standing in the balcony as I listened to the words, "Christ is RISEN...HE IS RISEN INDEED," I ALMOST COLLAPSED under the influence of the deliciously intoxicating Orthodox incense wafting up from the holy censors that were swung throughout that beautiful Cathedral. How I loved the lit candles, the strong voices of the faithful reaffirming "HE IS RISEN INDEED" echoing and reverberating throughout her hallowed walls! I cannot wait to someday return once again to enjoy this glorious and incredible experience. "VOISTINU VOSKRESS!"-Pamela...
