I would give this place 0 stars if I could. So long story short: DONT COME HERE. EVER.
My whole squad came here a few months ago because Migos was suppose to be performing. The admission was $30 for their concert. This place is right next to echostage.
First when we got there, there was a huge line. We waited probably a little more than 30 minutes to get in. It was a 4 step process to get in. First was ID Check, then they pat you down/search you, ticket scan, then they search your shoes. After they patted me down, they pulled me to the side and said that I needed to pay an additional $20 to get in because of my footwear. I was wearing Nike Lunarglides. Apparently there was a dress code and you must wear dress shoes to get in. Nothing about this was said when I bought my ticket. Nothing. They pulled all the guys in my group except for one, to the side and asked for $20. This was ridiculous. Especially since that one friend was the same type of shoes as us but they let him in. It's like there wasn't any actual rule for this. They just wanted to make some extra cash that night. After arguing back and forth with the "manager" (someone who said he was the manager but not sure if he's telling the truth), he eventually let us in if our whole group paid $20 together instead of separately.
We get in and we're all surprised by how small the venue was. There were 2 rooms and both were really small. The restrooms system was terrible. There were 4 public restrooms. There was no male/female restroom. Just 4 single public restrooms. This lead to no lines and people just fighting for the first opened restroom.
This drinks were pretty expensive as well. But it's kind of a given since it's in DC for a Migos concert.
So my group eventually got settled in around 12am. Migos haven't gotten up on stage yet. The dj that was on was pretty lit. We were all dancing and bumping to the music. It was fun. Eventually 1am hit and we were all wondering when Migos would come out. The dj kept hyping them up asking the crowd "who wants to see Migos!" The dj was getting boring and my group started to get really tired. We went to the back and sat down by the bar waiting for Migos. 2am hit and Migos still didn't come on. Keep in mind that the concerts suppose to end at 3am. We were so tired and eventually left shortly after. Yes we wasted $30 on admission and the guys in my group but one, wasted $20 for our "inappropriate shoes".
I'm still unsure whether or not Migos even came out last night. I just read reviews of this club doing the same thing with other mainstream artists like O.T. Genesis - where they would come out at 2:30 and end 3. This is so wack.
This club doesn't care for their customers and is looking at every way possible to scam you of your money.
Don't...
Read moreI love to party in D.C but I Would NEVER step foot in here ever again! Bought tickets online for the weekend MoneyBagg Yo was performing prsented my tickets from my phone and was told that they were no longer legit basically tried to get us to pay $80 at the door even though we bought tickets previously it was some older guy who looked like he shouldn’t be at Bliss in the first place and a younger light skin girl with a Jamaican accent who scanned our tickets but she was in cohots with him. Mind you my friends who bought tickets as well who arrived an hour earlier than I were able to get in. I caused and he then pulled my friend and I to the side and said “Miss you and your friend can just pay $20 and I’ll let y’all in” and we did because I was there’s to celebrate my friends Bday but still that wasn’t right for others who had to pay extra money on top of buying their tickets on-line. I did speak with the Club manager the following Monday to make her aware of the situation she was pleasant and apologized, she also mentioned that she would get to the bottom of it. As for the online tickets she told me that I would have to follow up with the people online to be issued a refund, but I never did. I love to party in D.C. but damn sure won’t be back to Bliss instead try other places like Ozios, Rose Bar and Park I’ve had a good time at...
Read moreFirst, I will say I don’t like clubs so my review is bias. We waited in line for a fairly long time when it wasn’t at capacity. This was my second time going to bliss. My first was when they first opened and it was a bigger crowd and better experience. Only one side of the club was open my last visit.
Girls was bussin it open for a quarter, they literally carried a girl out of the club who I’m assuming was high off the K2. Everyone had on the same clothes from all the boutiques.
Everyone was blowing down tree... Dave East was on stage rolling it. I mean I know weed is legal but I didn’t know we could carry on like they do in Amsterdam. Even there it’s only allowed in the coffee shops. My braids smelled like smoke when I left.
Dave East finally rapped a couple songs over his song. At like 2:30 am. They really don’t want you to leave and go to another club. I’m not really familiar with him but my homegirl is which is why we were there. I’m 31 but the club life is dry and Bliss not my type. If you are more mature I would pass on this place.
The crowd was around my age group but wasn’t my personality type. As an example. The bouncer told an adult female that if she spelled dyslexic he would let her in for free. She couldn’t spell it and revealed she didn’t know what it meant. Nope, I’m...
