Final Update April 2025 *WILL NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION AGAIN. I thought that time had past and things had changed.... Not at all unfortunately. No response to the customer service e mail. I am a former manager of Checkers. I worked 10+ years at several stores. I am disheartened to receive such poor service and poor food presentation and quality from a place that I personally know has or at least had higher standards. I arrived at 10:04 in the morning, no other cars in the drive through or at the walk up. I was greeted promptly and properly. I placed my order for a #4 Champ cheese meal. No lettuce, no tomato, add grilled onions. The ordertaker did not repeat the order to me, he only responded "$11.10, drive up". He took my payment, passed me my receipt and my drink, then he closed the window and walked away. He grabbed a bottle of windex and went to the back. He was polite enough, I have no issues with him. There was a taller guy making my food. I saw the fries already cupped and sitting on the fry station. There were no other customers still at this time. I knew I would have to wait a moment for my food since I asked for the grilled onions. I saw the taller guy put tomatoes on my top bun and close the sandwich. A lady who was there looked and I could see her point and it appeared that she was trying to tell him no tomatoes. It looked like he was going to pull it off and give it to me. Then they blocked my view for a moment and it looked like it was possibly another bun prepared. Now I am not allergic to tomatoes, I actually like them but I did not want them at the time. but what if I was allergic. Just pulling it off could have caused someone who was allergic to have a reaction. I opened the sandwich right there to make sure it had the right toppings and I got what you see below. I motioned for him to open the window and I held it up saying I asked for grilled onions. He responded, "Yeah, they on there." I said "This?" He said "Yeah I took them off the grill myself." I Said "This is what you are giving me?" as I looked at the condition of the sandwich overall. He said "Yes" I looked up and the ordertaker who walked away was outside standing near the window with the windex. I did not feel comfortable so I pulled ahead to the end of the drive through but still in the parking lot and took pictures. The sandwich looked cold, I took a bite and it did not taste good. I did not even finish the bite, I spit it out. The meat was dry and barely warm, the onion tasted like it was dragged in burger grease. If the sandwich would have come with 1 onion ring standard why when I ordered and paid extra for grilled onions did I get 2 lukewarm onion rings? Since my sandwich was improperly made and looked like it was smashed I chose not to eat it. As for the fries they were much warmer than the sandwich but again not hot as they should have been. I ate less than half of them. 10/2023 I asked for a Bacon Cheese champ, everything on it with extra pickles and onions. Easy enough I guess but the cashier had to slide over to speak to her to get my sandwich made properly. Not sure if she was new or not but I could see from the window my poor sandwich was not neatly made. She tossed my bag near the fry station and stared at it for a few seconds. Then someone added fries to the basket and walked off. She went on to make another order and they mistakenly handed me the wrong bag I told them that my bag was at the fry station. They pulled up my fries (before the timer... I know they were not finished) The cashier bagged my fries and handed me my bag. My sandwich was as I thought sloppy and the toppings not evenly placed so half my sandwich had pickles and the other had onions. My fries were hot but soggy (since they were pulled up to early) so after a few into the trash they went. It was so not worth the money or 7 mins I waited...
Read moreI had one of the worst fast food experiences ever at this Checkers location. First, they gave me the wrong order. Mistakes happen, but what followed was completely unacceptable.
Instead of remaking my food properly, they took apart a different order I had already received and reassembled it into a makeshift sandwich—literally recycling food I had already touched. That’s not only lazy, it's disgusting and a clear food safety violation.
When I asked for a refund, they refused—and forced me to take the food instead. On top of that, I had to wait an absurd amount of time just to get this messed-up order. They had no sauces available either, and the overall hygiene was awful. Staff were not using gloves correctly and were visibly ignoring proper food handling protocols.
After waiting even longer, I was told to wait 5 more minutes—then they told me to get back in line behind 5 cars just to remake my food “in secret,” which immediately raised red flags. I did not trust what would come out of that kitchen after how poorly everything else had been handled. Again, I asked for a refund and was denied.
This place needs a serious inspection and retraining on both customer service and food safety. Absolutely...
Read moreFirstly, I didn't order food, I was the driver. On a Fri night, it took 30 mins to get through this drive thru--while BOTH lanes were open. My girl ordered a fully loaded fry and a 10pc garlic parm wings. From start to finish, this was by far the worst visit to any checkers I've ever visited. At this point, it should be expected that the "let out" crowd is coming to this location after going to nearby clubs....but apparently the staff/management hasn't figured that out. There were at least FIVE men working, and with the given menu, I don't understand how it can be this hard to keep both lines moving. 10-15mins at the max, but 30? For a fry and some chicken wings? Lol The guy who took the order over the mic was totally lacking in customer service, from start to finish. He denied my passenger's request for a 5pc wing "bc they are trying to get rid of 10pcs"..... Imma leave it at that for now. Somebody shared similar complaints 4 months ago, and it looks like nothing has changed...giving 2 stars bc the food did smell good, I hope...
