My daughter went here today. Spent almost $50.00 on our ticket. The crew saw that my daughter was on a bike, yet in still, thought it was a good idea to stuff all those items on that ticket (except the large fries which was not in the bag at all) into one bag. Not a plastic bag but a paper bag... one of those items was hot soup which was at the bottom. In addition to the food she had 3 drinks. It would have been mindful and great customer service to not only replace this 50 ticket, but to educate your employees how to package food properly especially when you saw her on a bike. My daughter is a timid soul and do not like to fuss or complain. But at best I feel the employees should have 1. Put the soup in a separate bag (pressure from the hot soup cause the lid to pop open compromising the integrity of the bag) 2. When you see the customer has multiple items suggest a bigger bag (hence the plastic bag) that would have made it a little easier on her especially riding a bike. Long story short i took the messed up items back to the resturant he (David) the "owner" cared less how much I spent didnt care to hear how it happened. No money back no food. I left the food with them because I was so upset. I have been coming here for long time, some of the crew know me by name... it's a shame I have to sever this relationship. To spend that much money and not get anything but a kids meal is disheartning its a no for me because of the lack of customer care.

Today I was working for Doordash and I had an order at this location. The drive thru was backed up on to Maryland Ave NE and it was only one parking spot available in the lot. I pull into the lot. I notice it is a orange cone in the parking space. But this space is not marked just regular parking space. I move the cone and then attempt to park in the space. The SPO officer who identified himself as Sergeant Taylor badge number 204231 told me the space was for the owner and I couldn't park in the space. I look behind me it was cars behind me and in front of me. I then I ask well if the space isnt marked saying its for the owner then why can't I park in the space. He proceeds to tell me it is private property and I can park on the street. I then say ok I cant get out I am blocked in so I will just grab my order and go. I left my hazard lights on and walked to the counter and wait for my order. I show the ladies at the counter my phone then Sergeant Taylor comes and says no you cant have your order you need to leave or I will remove you. I dont understand why this occured but it was a very negative interaction. I have patronized this established several times since it has come to this location. I have NEVER experienced this kind of treatment. I also went back and requested to speak to a manager/owner. When I returned to the property the cone was not in the spot and I explained what happened to the manager on duty.

Hello there, hope this helps in the future. I noticed the Drive-thru line was building up so with breakfast time nearly ending I parked my truck to walk up and order. There wasn’t many people in line, it took over 10 minutes for the FOUR things I ordered, my drink came out mostly immediate so I was fine waiting. The only problem I had with the “wait” is that everything felt catered to the “Pick-up” orders, as they came & went. I am glad I got to enjoy breakfast, just thought this Maryland Ave location would be better with the service of all customers not some.

*UPDATE: I originally gave this location a 4 star rating, but after going over 10 times since, I can say it's the slowest, least efficient Chick-fil-A I've been to in the DC Metro area if you go through the walk through. Maybe they will learn a better process, but factor in a longer wait than you'd expect. DC's first drive thru Chick-Fil-A and the closest one to Capitol Hill. They took over the dead years ago Checkers location, flipped it, and now NE DC has chicken. #winning

Unlike most other Chick Fil A stores, this one has zero indoor seating. There are a few tables outside. On one side of the store is the drive thru and on the other side is a walk up window for the many DC residents who don't have cars, live nearby or want late night food after bar hopping on H Street.

I raise a chicken biscuit to Chick Fil A for mastering the art of marketing. Even though it's still unhealthy fast food, they put it in our minds that it's better than McDonalds. Those waffle fries, that spicy chicken sandwich. Bring on the calories!

If you're like me and just can't curb the fried chicken craving, here are a few pro-tips to make it a tad more healthy:

-Ask for your sandwich on a wheat bun and no butter. It takes the same and cute out 100+ calories. -Ask for the honey roasted BBQ sauce. It tastes similar to the Chick Fil A sauce but slightly fewer calories. -Go with water every single time. -If you must, ask for mayo light. -Choose Honest Kids for the kids meal. Tastes good and fewer calories.

Time will tell if conservative leaning fried chicken will bridge the gap in politics being in a liberal leaning...
