Horribly expensive. We asked if they do kids’ sizes as that’s what we normally order from other cold stone creameries for our toddler-aged kids. They apparently don’t do that size here. The pricing makes no sense here. $10.39 for like it, thirty cents more for love it, and just ten cents more than that for gotta have it. With such minimal differences in pricing you might as well get the biggest size which is double in size than the smallest size. Factor in DC’s 10% sales tax and you’re looking at a $12 ice cream cup when all is said and done. Or $50 for a family of four. This is so ridiculous when there are better handcrafted ice cream places just down the street. I will not be visiting here again. The worker literally spent three minutes scraping the sides of the ice cream in the old pan to get us our order. She went back to it twice to try to get more from the edges. It was all melted and goopy by the time we got it. Not worth $12 for a single cup of old ice...
Read moreRight, so imagine this—you walk into a place expecting a delightful, refreshing açaí bowl, something that justifies the absurd price tag. So, the question remains—why? Why would anyone subject themselves to this when clearly superior alternatives exist? The answer, I suspect, lies in sheer optimism. But let me save you the trouble: skip Cold Stone for açaí. Spend your money elsewhere. You’ll...
