Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in Washington

Just had some of the worst customer service here. I don't write reviews, but for an adult to take advantage of a young child, I had to write against them. My son went in with $20 to get some ice cream for him and a friend because we had a coupon from the mail. My son came out in tears because they charged him full price because they didn't pay attention to the fact that one of the flavors he ordered didn't apply for the coupon. My son asked for a different flavor so he could use the coupon, but they told him no because they already made. He didn't argue and paid. Then came to the car crying because he knew it was wrong. He was trying to spend $9 on some ice cream to share with a friend and walked out being charged almost $17. You as the employee made a mistake because the kid doesn't know the coupon won't cover that, you the worker do or should, and if you also didn't know the coupon wouldn't work, then why would you not make the kid one different flavor, and then honor the coupon? You should never tell a customer "no, we already made it". I don't think you would have done that if it was an adult. It was a simple mistake on both ends that could've ended seamlessly, but instead a kid was left embarrassed....

Worse ever, got a chicken strip basket and checked the fries and were cold and reheated. so I requested fresh and warm fries and the manager sounded annoyed and said to go pull out front and it will be 4 min. So we did. After 5min about to go in and they were delivered to the car. Than realized there was no toast in the basket. So turned around and went back in and asked for the toast, and was looked at like I was creating a major request, followed by 2 employee (1 was the manager) asked if toast was included?? And the manager walked to the back as I pointed to the picture of the meal, and asked if that's toast included and was brushed off. Finally the manager comes out and says the toaster doesn't work. And hands my box back and walked away. TOATALY BLEW ME OFF AND JUST DIDN'T CARE. We frequent this store regularly with our granddaughter and even make late runs for some elderly people in our community. Well I will drive anywhere But there from now on. There were 4 people inside and 1 in the drive thru. So not busy what so ever. And it was dirty with what appeared to be strawberry shake and crums all over behind...

This place is still better than the DQ on 128th. However, I am SO sick and tired of getting the run around whenever I try to redeem a Blizzard punch card. Every individual employee seems to use different rules. Some give you any size. Some give you only small. This has been going on for months, and it's frustrating.

Today, I told them before ordering that I wanted to redeem a punch card for a free Blizzard. There was nothing else in my order. That ought to be clear, right? Apparently not. They asked for the type and asked me to choose the size. I went with a large Drumstick Blizzard. When I got to the window, I gave them the punch card and they told me I had to pay for this one because the punch card was only redeemable for smalls. I was so annoyed with the bait-and-switch that I just made them give the card back and left with nothing.

I just wanted some ice cream after a long, frustrating day at work, but all I got was a clumsy attempt at a bait-and-switch. I won't be back for a...
