As someone who's been a loyal customer of M.R. Barbershop for several years now, I can confidently say that this place is simply the best. Here are some of the reasons why I keep coming back year after year:

Danny does not have basic customer service skills. The only reason I chose him was because he had satisfactory Google reviews. I walked in 4 minutes late to my appointment due to unexpected traffic, but he was blaming me as if I was 30 minutes late. During the whole haircut, he was complaining and acting miserable. He was also being unnecessarily rough. He easily could have denied me service and I would have understood, but to make a quick buck, he accepted. I had also booked the wrong type of haircut because it was my understanding that the classic haircut would cover the basics, but that's my bad for assuming. In the end, I paid an extra 5 dollars for a taper, but I got home and saw that it wasn't even tapered properly. The haircut itself wasn't up to par either. My sideburns were left uneven and I didn't get a regular lineup which is stupid because any other barber would do it for free unless it's with a straight razor. Summary: I would rather go to Great Clips than here, don't waste your money at...

I gotta start out by saying that I am VERY picky about my hair, especially being a queer person. This shop is typically appointment only, but I lucked out and was able to snag one of two remaining appointments for the day.

Based on the Google photos, it seems like everyone here has a pretty steady hand. But I just had to reach out and review what a great experience I had with Rachel! She not only asked the standard "what are we doing today?" but also inquired about more long term style goals.

After explaining my likes/dislikes, we had a delightful chat over the next half hour while she did my hair. I'm thrilled with the fade and the gradual point of the sideburns. No nicks/cuts or razor burn, which is an absolute must.
