Dragon’s Head Cider Uptown — Restaurant in Washington

My experience at the uptown location was disappointing. After visiting the orchard where we received friendly service but a suggestion to visit the uptown location where tastings were encouraged, we were treated curtly by the lady behind the bar who seemed more interested in getting her other responsibilities done than providing good service. She let us try a few samples before purchasing a bottle, but each sample was given quickly and under pressure to make a decision, despite no other customers in the room. We ended up walking out with a bottle as a gift for a friend, but with a bad taste in our mouth from the overall experience. Please treat anyone who walks through your doors warmly, or you will turn more customers away...

First off I want to say the server was great and the food was really good. However the place was freezing. Everyone had their coats on. I don't find it fun to freeze while trying to eat. The other reason for a low review was it took 45 mins for our food to come. They were not busy and everyone there before us already had food. Everything we ordered was cold room temp food which is the way it was supposed to be. All the food was made ahead of time and so basically they took 45 mins to put it artfully on the plate. I recently visited Dragonhead Cidery and had an absolutely amazing experience! The staff was warm, welcoming, and incredibly attentive, making the whole visit feel special from the moment we arrived. The food was simply incredible – I enjoyed the tuna, deviled eggs, and egg bites, and every bite was bursting with flavor. The chef even took the time to come out and talk to us about his culinary style, which added a personal touch to an already great meal.
