OBVIOUSLY HERE, THE LAST TIME I CAME THE GENTLEMAN AT THE REGISTER DID THE SAME THING, SO I POLITELY ASKED THE YOUNG LADY NOT TO TOUCH MY PIZZA WITH HER BARE HANDS, SHE SEEMED TO HAVE AN ATTITUDE AFTER THAT BUT IT'S LIKE COME ON FOR PETE'S SAKE YOU'RE WORKING A REGISTER A CASH REGISTER AND THEN TAKING YOUR DIRTY HANDS AND TOUCHING PEOPLE'S FOOD AND SERVING THEM EWWW🤮 MAYBE OTHER PEOPLE DON'T MIND IT OR ARE JUST TO QUIET TO SAY SOMETHING BUT THAT IS NOT SANITARY AT ALL..... Read moreI recently watched a film about a woman who survives 24 harrowing days trapped in her car under the snow. At one point, to feel the feeling of eating again, she resorts to consuming paper. At the end of the film, she escapes the car and makes it through the wilderness to a nearby resort. I moved to Seattle in 2016 from Chicago, one of, if not the best pizza cities in the country. I imagine that first meal the woman in the movie had after surviving on paper is somewhere in the ballpark of how I felt eating this pizza today. 7 years I have spent toiling in by far the worst pizza city in the country, consistently lying to myself that the cardboard topped with canned tomatoes proffered by Seattle pizza joints was "not that bad, actually" or "surely must be pretty good, you have to wait in such a long line". Today my taste buds suddenly got to feel real feelings again, with a truly delicious crust, a seasoned and tasty sauce, and well composed and well baked all-around pizza. Thank you, O Sole Mio, for being an oasis amidst a barren tundra of tasteless,...
Read moreThis is really good pizza place and bar. Very New York ish. The menu is simpler now. I think we've tried all the specials. They seem to be cheaper than the build it yourself. I ask for extra sauce. We have a friend that orders their cheese pizza the minutes undercooked and add the toppings and finishes baking it at home on to go orders. There is good feeling inside, COVID restrictions have been relaxed in Washington. They have an outdoor area that wasn't being used during my last visit. I sat out back and drank a pint on my first visit. Last night i went out back and took a couple of tokes. The bar was crowded and felt homey. These guys don't miss a trick, good Italian deli stuff, wine, and they can their own cocktails to go. Grey goose and tonic $13. The Tiramisu is perfect, even at $9. I haven't checked these prices since last year. The coffee shop next door is a related business and seems to be thriving as well as the pizza place. It looks like eventually there will be access to the back porch from...
