It had been some time since we had eaten here so we decided to stop and have dinner on our way home from errands.
The first thing I noticed was the dining area was much more open than before and the floor was not overcrowded with tables, making it feel much more welcoming inside.
We were greeted and seated almost immediately by the hostess. Our server came to the table with menus right away with menus and to ask if we cared for any beverages.
The menu had changed radically since we were last there. Everything had been condensed to one large page. There were only two choices for a family dinner, starting with soup. We chose the $70 meal for two as it came with won ton soup and the appetizer platter. The other family dinner offered the soup of the day and no appetizer platter.
The soup arrived first. Each had two large chicken won tons as opposed to the typical small ones I have typically seen in most Asian restaurants. They were well made and not soggy. The downside of the soup was lukewarm and too salty. I did not see our server until the appetizer platter arrived so we were unable to say something right away. I began to hope I had not made a bad dinner choice.
Our appetizer platter arrived and it was loaded. Everything was hot and well made. There were 6 large shrimp in a light crispy coating, 2 delicate spring rolls, 4 large crab Rangoons and 6 barbecue pork along with a large bowl of sweet and sour sauce, and another bowl with the hot mustard, ketchup and sesame seeds. The appetizer was a meal all by itself.
Then our dinner arrived. Sweet and sour pork, special fried rice, almond chicken, broccoli beef and cashew chicken. The serving plates were loaded. Everything was delicious, delicately made and hot. Our dinner did not disappoint! We were stuffed and still had plenty to take home.
The soup was a bump in the road. I highly recommend this meal. We will definitely be back.

Read moreI ordered pork tenderloin with sauce. There was nothing tender about the pork. They were overfried and tough that I couldn't bite them in two. Then I ordered a side of Brocolli because I don't eat rice which I told the waitress. I had to pay an additional $3 for it although no rice. Plus it wasn't just broccolli, it was a combination of vegetables, which I wasn't told.
The waitress wasn't very attentive and with hardly anyone in the restuarant I'm not sure why we were ignored.
When she did return, after our meal, I informed her that the pork was tough and overdone. I left 85% of it on my plate. She said I should have said something earlier and they could have made someting else, well yes, but you didn't return. And... she didn't offer to comp the dish either.
After watching food network and resturants and how patrons should be treated, I can honestly say "I won't return nor will I suggest it to anyone. "
When the check came I left no tip other than 25 cents. I didn't want the waitress to get the idea I forgot. I didn't, she didn't earn it. Worse $30 that I ever spent.
If you're looking for GOOD chinese food, then go elsewhere. The food at this place is overpriced and overdone. Even their fried rice was bland. I lived in Hawaii for 6 yrs and theirs was the worse.
Plus a little girl went to a wait staff to ask for their check (same waitress so it goes to show you how unattentive their staff is), he mocked her because she didn't know to say receipt, check or bill. He was such a smartelec and did it right in front of us and the little girl. Why on earth would staff do that in front of patrons is beyond me. THe right response would have been, Yes, I'll get that right away.
Whoever says their food is good has absolutely...
Read moreHi! My wife and I are full time RV'ers. We happened to be staying at an RV park not too far from this restaurant when we decided to have Chinese food for supper. We found this place on the internet and decided to try it, so we phoned in an order for to go. We usually go for more ethnic style Chinese food, but decided this night that we were in the mood for some good old-fashioned American style Chinese comfort food. My wife ordered Sweet And Sour Pork and I ordered Pork Chow Mein with Crispy Noodles ( the kind of Chow Mein with lots of bean sprouts, not the Subgum type or Lo Mein type ), and we split an order of Barbecue Pork. EVERYTHING was very good. It was probably the best American style Chinese food we've had in many years. The prices were reasonable and the portions were LARGE ( we both have enough leftovers for supper tomorrow night, too ) The crispy noodles and sweet and sour sauce were in their own containers and the sesame seeds, hot mustard, and red sauce for the Barbecue Pork were each in their own little containers as well, all in quite sufficient quantities. I don't know how good the rest of their food items might be, but the items we ordered were all above average in quality, quantity, and flavor. We would definitely recommend this...
