We installed LVP in our new home and the flooring is complete junk. We have lived in our home for 6 months and right away I noticed how easily it scratches. Great floors send out a tech the week we moved in to repair some scratches and edge chipping. We wear no shoes in the home, have no pets, don’t allow toys or anything hard on the floor. We put felt pads on every piece of furniture, we don’t use a vacuum or any tools on flooring, we only mop and white up messes. Despite all the effort we are getting scratches extremely easily on our flooring. Also, edges of the flooring is chipping off. Literally anything leaves a scratch. An appliance repair company came out to inspect our range. He pulled it out like he does every other range and it left deep scratches in the flooring. He said this doesn’t ever happen in any other homes. The company themselves prepared and replaced the flooring to fix it. This LVP is complete junk and I feel duped to have spent so much on this terrible flooring. It looks nice, but it won’t last. We spent too much money on this junk flooring. While we are stuck with this flooring, the least great floors can do is compensate in some way for this flooring we’ll have to likely replace in a few years. I’ve emailed the sales rep several times and I get no response. He was helpful and did a good job at selling us the product. However after the install he won’t return my emails.

I chose Great Floors to install floors at my second home after they did excellent at my house in Olympia. Initially, my experience was wonderful. The sales staff is knowledgeable, helped me chose vinyl flooring and scheduled my installation very quickly. That's when things went sideways. The night after my floors were installed, I received a voicemail from the sales person, letting me know that he'd seen pictures of some of the baseboards, realized they were not installed correctly and assuring me Great Floors would have someone out to fix this as soon as possible. When I arrived at my home, I was horrified. While the actual floors look acceptable, Great Floors managed to destroy nearly every square inch of molding as they were re-installing it. They "forgot" and left a toilet sitting in one of my showers. Created gouges in walls all over the house. Left remnants of the old carpet sticking out under borders of the new floors. All in all, a complete disaster. Even though I received multiple in-person, phone and email assurances, it has been a month and Great Floors will not schedule repairs or replacement for the baseboards they destroyed. While the sales team provides good customer service, unfortunately, Great Floors' action fall far, far short of reasonable expectations.

I stopped into Great Floors after getting the runaround from Home Depot. Matt McKenna to the rescue. I explained what I was looking for, Luxury Vinyl Plank, for my entire first floor and that it would also be installed on stairs. (This was more problematic than you would expect). He sent me home with a few different planks so I could see how they looked in my home. When I decided to move forward, he was able to beat the quote provided by Home Depot. I was hopeful of a very tight install timeframe and they found a way to make it work. It included Matt having to pick up the special stair-nose pieces in Seattle which I so appreciated. The installers were very nice and other than arriving about 90 minutes after they were supposed to, they worked hard and did a great job. Despite being late, they finished it all in one day. It's been about a month since installation and I love the floors. They look fantastic. The pic of the stairs was prior to them being swept - they had just been installed. I'm super happy with the new floors and would recommend Matt and Great Floors to anyone in the market.

Nothing went smoothly. They scheduled the flooring quickly but for the price I paid, I was not impressed. I did the vinyl planks. They did it wrong on the first attempt, and destroyed my trim. Even though they are not liable for it they didn't even tell me. It was unprofessional. They laid the flooring down with so many gaps throughout. I calledfor them to refix the floor and the soonest they could be done was two weeks. So i couldntget the subfloors wet. I have kids and dogs. That is so difficult. And I received no compensation for my time or their mistakes. They gave me a big fat I'm sorry. After the two weeks or so they had someone assess the floor. The man said he could come out to fix it in a week or so. So I'm waiting again. Once the man came out and he fixed the floor. He stated he didn't have enough transition pieces. So I'm waiting again. I have now waited a week for a phone call and still haven't been scheduled. My floor is still not done! I'm really upset about the whole thing and it's been over a month! they want the job and your money but they don't put pride into the work they do.So unprofessional and guess what? For my time and frustration I have received a "im sorry". I paid a crazy amount so I expected grade A work. I'd also like to mention, that the original flooring guy was non English speaking which is fine if i had a way to communicate with him. It was extremely frustrating not knowing what he was saying and vice versa. Shame on Great Floors for not supplying a way for their people to communicate. Overall would not go to them again and would not recommend....

Michael Schultz is our HERO!

Recently, we visited Great Floors in Lacey in search of the finest wood floor to replace the carpeting in our home. Initially, the selection and choices of wood flooring was overwhelming. Fortunately, Michael Schultz gracefully escorted us through your store and skillfully guided us through the amazing inventory of wood floor samples.

Michael delivered a Professional and Personable customer service experience. He applied his Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Experience, patiently leading and coaching us through the whole process.

Specifically, Michael personally dedicated a significant amount of time in offering us many choices and options for our new wood floor. After we decided on some colors and other features, he suggested we take some sample panels to our home to make sure they complemented our kitchen cabinets and furniture.

One of the EXCEPTIONAL services that Michael provided for us was offering an AFFORDABLE cost for materials and the BEST VALUE for our new wood flooring.

We recognize and appreciate everyone on the Great Floors Team, especially Michael and Mike Schultz, and Andy the Lacey Great Floors General Manager.

Please RECOGNIZE and REWARD Michael Schultz for his numerous talents, industry knowledge and experience, friendly and pleasant personality, accomplished interpersonal skills, and his Professional and Personable Customer Service.

Thank you for an Enjoyable and Satisfying GREAT FLOORS experience,

(Captain) Kirk and...

We had a terrible experience with them trying to get a carpet job done, terrible communication from the whole staff. First, they lost our carpet shipment(that we already paid full price for) and didn’t let us know until the night before the morning that they were supposed to install it. Their first offered solution was to just grab whatever carpet they had in their warehouse so they could still make the install day. No, we paid for the specific carpet we ordered, so we had to argue with them to reorder the same carpet. Our install was then delayed by weeks. Then we get to our house where the carpet was installed and realize they didn’t open the window box at the end of the room and replace the carpet in there, so job wasn’t complete. Then they schedule another install person to come and finish the spot, well he no shows and also doesn’t call until the appointment time has passed. Took over a month and half to get this one room of carpet done. Like I said, very poor communication from the business, very little or late updates. Sales personnel and manager we spoke to did not understand why we were frustrated with everything that went wrong and made many excuses, their opinion was all these things were no big deal. Wished we had done this job ourselves, saved our money and the weeks of hassle! We have more rooms of carpet in our home to replace and we will be using just about any other business in the community other than Great Floors! So glad we are...
