The absolute worst coffee business I've visited in the area! There is no clear entrance, no clear drive-up window, either. No menu listing available drinks, sizes, pricing, etc. When the barista opened the window, I was a bit taken aback by the young lady standing there in her bra and thong panties - nothing indicated it was a bikini barista shop. There was a man in the shop with her and the wafting odor of marijuana. It's legal, I'm fine with it, but not something I expected from a place of business... I ordered a plain 24oz iced latte with 2 stevia. When she asked how I was paying I asked the total and was quoted $8 and change - steep for a plain latte, but not outside the norm enough to make me pause. Card, then. When I was presented with the card swipe, the total was over $10! I didn't really catch it as I was tapping, but told her I wanted to skip the tip to pay it in cash. After the fact, though, I asked what the total was again. She said $10 and change and I was surprised! She told me, well, it's 10+ tax for men and $8 plus tax for women.
Come on. How is this place still in business with that kind...
Read moreLoved working here as I had previous regulars from my other job willing to visit me. However not everyone was so lucky. Some women even got fired during the week of snow and ice for "slow sales". The owner Alan insinuated we use our own tips to make sales. If you don't make $125 a day at this stand (which is low traffic with insufficient signage) your shifts get taken or worse, you get fired. I say support the baristas working there. Tip well. 9 times out of 10 they're putting their own tips in just to keep their employment. Alan should be ashamed as a father of a young lady himself. He should be down right grateful to have the solid team he has. Thank you Alan for setting the lowest standard for an establishment. Under our w-4s you can not refuse to pay your employees. But you have. There's adequate proof of this. You can not threaten hard working young women into doing things they don't want to do for your benefit. You've tried long enough. Absolutely grateful I learned so much from being a barista here but absolutely grossed out that it was...
Read moreI’ve gone to this stand a few times. As it’s conveniently close to home. I’ve never had a bad experience til today. The short-haired thin blonde girl around 10:30 am had no change in her till, yet demanded a tip like a 12y/o. I actually told her I’d go get change and come back before she became demanding. She then barked at me that she didn’t expect a tip anyway. I told her with that attitude you won’t get one either. I had no problem tipping the previous girl who told me most women tip $1 after I asked. The drink today was watery and couldn’t taste the lotus. So I trashed the drink and went to Quick Time instead. Just in case this girl, or rather teenager wants to know what a real drink looks like, here it is. Please hire...
