I can’t believe that I am writing a review for Jack-in-the-Box, of all places! I have gotten out of the habit of fast food joints, particularly the large chains, and even more particularly the semi substandard burger places. But you know, it was late and I was just too tired to get out of the car, and I thought, what the heck? And besides for many years when I was a security officer over at Salmon Creek, I used to come here on a regular basis. I also weighed 80 pounds more. So I’ll tell you, driving into Jack-in-the-Box was a powerful dose of nostalgia for me, it took me back, probably 16 or 17 years. I have to remember, that it wasn’t particularly good then, and it’s not particularly good now. I got the buttery something burger because it looks good on the poster, forgetting for a moment, nothing ever looks like it is in the poster. It was a sloppy, greasy, unappetizing mess. The taste was not particularly bad, but it was not particularly good either. I felt like I had been slimed, like Ghostbusters being slimed by pure evil. It was so oily, the paper was soaked, the bun was saturated, even honoring the nostalgia, it was… Disgusting. I also got the two tacos which in the ensuing years has gone from $.99 up to $1.69, making it still one of the cheapest things on the menu. Now I will say about the tacos that there is something special and unique about them. They certainly don’t taste like tacos, and they are a greasy mess as well, but they represent a guilty pleasure. They they are something crunchy and savory and somehow satisfying, even while being not particularly good. I have always had a soft spot in my heart for the Jack-in-the-Box taco, although I doubt that I will ever have one again. It’s one of those things, where they are so bad that they are good. Even flavored as it was with nostalgia, I’m afraid Jack-in-the-Box is kind of a write off. I can’t believe I ate these things for so many years or that my standards were so low. Maybe in my memory they were better. Or maybe something has changed and they really were better back when I was fighting with patients on a regular basis or patrolling the grounds, searching for miscreants. It will forever be a kind of icon for those years of craziness and struggle. I can’t believe I stayed in the job so long and I can’t believe I ate Jack-in-the-Box on such a regular basis. In recent times, I’ve been trying to eat at more local places, Mom and Pop shops. Places that are more integrated into the community, where I can meet the owners, and share a little bit of their dreams. There is a saying that you can’t go back and I’m afraid that in regards to places like Jack-in-the-Box that is true. It was an interesting experience, but one that I don’t think I’ll repeat. None of this, is stuff that you don’t already know. All of us, understand what fast food is, what it does to us, and how many so much better places exist. I can rant, and yell from the hilltops and the church steeples that my brothers and sisters Should find elsewhere to explore their culinary delights and should spend their money on smaller, much better, and much more connected to the community places… But I know, that nothing I say will really make any difference. If you eat it places like Jack-in-the-Box, you will continue to eat at places like Jack-in-the-Box. Just remember, oh Pilgrim, that there are so many better places out there and often for the same amount of money or even cheaper.

Very, very bad experience in the last 2 times we order food in this location with the same "manager" named jared (he not has a name tag, don't said his name. I get the name from the receipt). 3 weeks ago we try to use a coupon from my cell (I get this coupon in a text from jack in the box every week, I posted the pics in this review) when I was at the drive thru window and show the coupon in my cellphone he said me "I can't accept your coupon " I show to him how I get the texts in my cellphone and he just said the same answer. For this reason I said to him cancel the order and leave. The second time was tonight 03/09/2019, my friend and I try to place two separate orders and he refused to take 2 orders in the drive thru. We place just one order for my friend y nothing for me. This guy is very rude and not professional. We're thinking no back to Jack in the Box while he no change his mind.

Most disgusting food!!! First the diet coke was regular mixed with water. I asked after taking a sip if it was diet and she said yes. LIE!! Second the food tasted so old and freezer burned. It's like everything was sucked dry of any moisture. I bought two different breakfast sandwiches and the eggs on both were cooked weird the bacon was like chewing flavored paper and the American cheese slices picked off in pieces. Stay away from this pathetic place. WASTE WASTE WASTE OF MONEY!!! Added- 10/3/21- So they responded below with a generic response which indicates they don't care. I had already taken the survey at Jack in the box.com the day I left this review. People aren't interested in vapid apologies!

Had the worst experience at the location off hwy 99 close to the salmon creek hospital. My family and i went and picked up subway tonight and my 6 year old doesnt do well with them so we went through the drive thru next door to get her a kids meal. At the speaker the guy gave me a total of 4.33 and then i got to the window he didnt even re-tell me the total just took my card and paid. After 5 ish minutes he opens the window and starts to hand me a shake. I said oh no thats not mine i just ordered the chicken nugget kids meal. He said ok and put it back and apologized. And we went on about getting her drink prepared and handed it to me. I said “i hope i wasnt charged for that” (because he was gonna go on without even looking instead of making sure we paid for only what we ordered), then he goes to the back and gets someone who comes and looks at the mistake and this guy slams the window with a negative demeanor and tells me that he will refund but needs to be the same card. I told him at this point it was charged and we will just take the shake and he says ok and slams the window closed and turns to the guy who made the mistake and says something to him.. couldnt hear him but his body language was negative as well. When the other guy came back and handed me my daughters food i asked why the other guy was so mad and he replied with “idk i just work here” i asked for the guys name and he acted like he didnt know and went and got him. When he came back i asked him why he was so mad and thats when things went even south. He refused to give me his name or corporates number. And yelled at me and when i tried to tell him his demeanor was very rude negative and disrespectful he kept cutting me off and wanted to argue. So i decided to say im not going argue and started to drive off and he yelled out the window with a line of people “done come back here jackass” now i also called the store in hopes a manager was there to talk to and the same guy answered and yelled at me and talked over me and said i lied to his coworker. (Not sure what i lied about) and proceeded to hang up on me. Worst experience ive ever had anywhere in my life. Stay clear of...

The women who work here are completely rude and nosy. I bring my boyfriend to work and anytime I order something and they know it’s for me they purposefully make the wrong order. I brought him something he needed to his work today and one of the ladies who’s Mexican with blonde highlights in her hair just stood by the window, listened to our entire conversation like it was any of her business and stared at me with the dirtiest look I’ve ever seen. Didn’t move, walk away or anything. Most of them don’t even speak English so it’s beyond me why she would just stand there. Apparently she’s the boss as well which is even more embarrassing for her. It also happens every time I pick him up for work. It’s really creepy and uncomfortable. Treating customers and ur teams family members like this is completely disgusting, disrespectful and totally concerning. Gotta give this place a low rating for everything I’ve experienced with them since March. Very uncomfortable environment and atmosphere for customers. And by the looks of other past reviews I think a lot of ppl can agree that unprofessionalism lack of respect and rudeness is a reoccurring issue that no one in higher positions is even batting an eye at or trying to fix at all. But my boyfriend NICK does an amazing job managing ppl like that. I hope she doesn’t treat all the costumers like this. I don’t even...
