Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church — Local services in Washington

Our family has been coming to this church since before I was born, and until many of them passed away and Pastor Dr. Terry Streeter has always had a powerful message and offers great service. I remember when I was little and he was still a Deacon. The Askew/Thomas/Jackson Family loved this church and many were sent home via Services of the church. Gloria Thomas, Donya Thomas, "Queenie" Askew, John Jackson were my parents/family. My mother Donya recently passed away Saturday morning at Washington Hospital Center and I've been trying to get in touch with the church for assistance with services/help. I emailed them twice but I have not heard anything back yet. You'll love this church/staff just wish they were more responsive and checked their email more frequently. Phenomenal Pastor, Dr. Terry Streeter!! Wonderful congregation! All my family attended/s Mt. Pleasant. My mom (Sister Olga Busey) was a dedicated servant of the Lord😇 And so was my son (Brother Maurice Busey)! Who both are now in Heaven with our Lord and Savior🙏🏽 Both received funeral services provided by Pastor Streeter/Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church and I’m forever grateful! Mt. Pleasant is one of the best places to grow in the faith. I have been attending regularly and joined in 2006. It is here at the Mt. that I was able to discover my spiritual gifts, get the opportunity to exercise them through service to the community and realize the purpose, plan and call that God has on my life.
