I shouldn't write a review when I'm frustrated. This could have been a one-off situation. But I feel like it's the norm. My apologies. I forgot to take pictures. I order the carnitas skillet with eggs over medium and sourdough toast. My son ordered the meat lovers omelet with pancakes And he ordered some chocolate chip pancakes to go. The first thing to arrive at our table was the pancakes that came with my son's order. They were so cold. They could not melt butter. The carnitas skillet with eggs were cold and flavorless by the time I received it. The eggs were cooked over easy. And I never received the sourdough toast. Although I did ask about it halfway through my meal. When I could finally get the waitress's attention.. She was busy gossiping with her friends, but she offered to get the toast. I figured I'd be done with my meal by the time it was ready. So why bother. The meat lovers omelet was also flavorless, but at least there was a little steam coming up from his plate when it finally arrived at our table. I can't comment on the chocolate chip pancakes. That was a to go order. I was really disappointed with my waitress. Gossiping with the regulars took precedent over new customers. I don't know to what degree this translated to the temperature of our food. But even hot food doesn't cut it when it's totally flavorless. When I say my food was cold, what I really mean is that it was room temperature. And that just doesn't work. Including the tip, my order came to just over $ 71 dollars. And the meal was absolutely not worth it. For me, this restaurant is a one and done. I've never been here before, and I'm never going back. We arrived just after they opened. There was only one customer in the...
Read moreLess than 90 days ago I ordered the 2 egg breakfast $13.99, today it’s $14.79 & the Pancake Combo: $12.99, today it’s $13.99. Kitchen Table pricing was already on the high side for breakfast. The current increase in their price now puts them as the MOST EXPENSIVE BREAKFAST RESTAURANT IN ORCHARDS! They are more expensive than Crave Grille, Carols, & Breakfast At Valerie’s. Furthermore, Kitchen Table isn’t even in the same league as Crave Grille who could reasonably charge Kitchen Table pricing. Needless to say, this visit is my last. I cannot justify their the additional cost. Furthermore, the wait staff are pleasant enough but always seem to be stressed out over the amount of customers they’re serving & are running around frantically even when the crowds have thinned out. When you look around at the general state of the restaurant it’s impossible to miss half full drink cups from other establishments placed next to the registers & a noticeable amount of water spilled on the counters while the waitstaff hands multiple customers a receipt to be signed strategically maneuvering around it & on another visit I am privy to employee conversations over their unhappiness with staffing & coworkers it’s become clear that their is a management problem in addition to the higher pricing that isn’t spent on staffing from the appearance of things. Does only having 3 links of sausage for $14.79 seem like a fair price? Four are the standard for a full...
Read moreI love moderately spicy foods, especially jalapenos, my favorite. The menu had a "spicy jalapeno" Omelette. The description sounded great: What a DISAPPOINTMENT. The jalapenos were NOT grilled as advertised. They were raw and diced so small you couldn't even taste them. NO heat. It was supposed to be stuffed also with creme cheese. There was a decent amount on top, but perhaps a teaspoon at best inside. Likewise a tiny amount in total of the nearly tasteless jalapeno micro pieces. There was supposed to be pepper jack cheese on top, but I saw what appeared to be a very small amount of "white" cheese melted with zero evidence of peppers. Zero heat there too. There was a decent amount of bacon. The problem is, I didn't order a bacon omelette but that's all I could taste. Egg & bacon.
Now, they DID accommodate my request; I asked about substituting a non carb alternative for the pancakes, toast or biscuit. They offered avocado, which I happily accepted, until I found what they brought: a very small portion, which wasn't fully ripe; barely edible, but without the flavor of a fully ripe one.
At least the service was good, hence the 2nd star. That was the highlight, because what I got amounted to what tasted like a bacon and egg Omelette. I'm not at all eager to come back. Can someone explain why people can't provide what's described in...
