Went here twice while visiting Seattle. We had two very different experiences. The first time was great. My boyfriend and I stopped in on a whim after visiting Snoqualmie Falls. We were met by a friendly bartender and the owner happened to be there too. They were extremely friendly and chatted with us. We had such a good time we decided to go back the next day. We drove a half hour from Seattle just to come back because the first time was so fun.

When we walked in the second time there was a different bartender who looked at us like we didn’t belong there. There was no warm welcome. Just a scowl and asked for our IDs after I enthusiastically said hi. She held our IDs for 6-7 minutes scrutinizing them as if they were fakes because we’re from NJ and she didn’t recognize them. She was googling on her phone what NJ IDs should look like and questioned if our DRIVERS LICENSES were IDs. Her reasoning was they’re for “driving not drinking”. 6-7 minutes is a long time to check our IDs when that’s usually a 10 second process.

We finally had enough and left. She wasn’t friendly so we decided we didn’t want to be there anyway. I should mention we’re in our 30s and look it. Also NJ drivers licenses have holograms. They’re not something minors would attempt to fake. The idea that they were fakes was so outlandish it became insulting.

I understand checking IDs is part of the job. I waited tables for years and worked as a cashier at a liquor store for years. I respect that she doesn’t want to serve minors. I don’t mind being carded at all. Her dismissive demeanor was not necessary though. We were nothing but nice until we finally got fed up from being hassled and treated like criminals. There are plenty of ways to verify someone’s age/ID politely. As a bartender she should know that. Such a...

The beautiful bartenders that are walking the plank like no others...ive experienced in the "Seattle" area....they are always spot on and the crowd is too....probably one of the friendliest places ive ever been ...the food isnt bad either....tip heavy and help them get a dishwasher...and a gel system....!!!....they could use both ...check it out!!!....tell them Bob from Oregone sent you ....be nice for they are!!! UPDATE; Well they say nothing stays the same and that has a lot to do with what the Frontier has become......!!!!All I can say is now..... that’s the service’s is rude ,short,And the new folks behind the bar seem to be just putting in their time and closeing early....and have a sick sense of humor!!!the scene has for sure changed and the Crowd seems to reflect the changes...Not as much fun not as pretty a babes and the service was atrocious....But hey I guess we can not expect to have the best forever so hopefully they get the vibe back!!!Until they do I’m not a big fan and maybe they don’t care...

July 29/24: Jordan took exceptional care of us today for lunch! She not only ran the bar but also cooked our meal for us. We enjoyed the wings (crispy with a bit of a bite), and the Bacon Cheeseburger w/crinkle fries 🍟, perfect! Updated Apr. 16/24: Thank you Alan (Chef) for an unforgettable afternoon of fabulous wings, a delicious HH Cheeseburger w/fries, and seriously good pours of “top shelf” Chardonnay! The “local” conversation is something to behold, and the on-site library rivals anything you’ll find @ your local bookstore. Multiple revisits are definitely in our future. ORIGINAL review: It’s everything & more! We stopped in for a glass of Chardonnay & some fries and were NOT disappointed! The atmosphere is “Dive Bar Personified”, absolute perfection. The krinkle fries were hot from the deep fryer and absolutely delicious. So happy we stopped in. It’s impossible to take it all in the 1st visit, we must return soon. Christina runs the entire place, bar, cook, host,...

If you're looking for a dive bar, you found it. With minimal tables and wall space, the Last Frontier is making use of every last bit of room it has, serving up beers on tap and classic bar food accompanied by sports on TV. A beer is a beer, but the food is quite good honestly, if not a little pricey. Come here on Tuesdays for (almost) half price burgers, which are well valued on that day, topped with the works and served with crispy fries. Service is fast, friendly, and ultra casual, the way it should be at a place like this. Enjoy the interesting historical sights plastered on the walls and ceiling.
