can't even believe this meal was real, it was that bad.

14th street corridor is the most prime real estate in DC so I expected that any restaurant that opens there would provide good food and service. I couldn't have been more wrong.

The food was actually inedible. The "daily selection of pickled vegetables" was LITERALLY A BOWL OF PICKLES that I'm 99% sure they picked up from Trader Joe's a chopped up into smaller pieces. I was shocked. The pizza was completely burnt on the bottom and disturbingly chewy in the center. How does that even happen?? I am perhaps one of the biggest fans of pizza in the world and I couldn't even eat it. We also ordered the veggie pizza with "black olives, green peppers, red onions, and mushrooms" and it literally had RAW tomatoes and 3 pieces of mushrooms on it. How??? And the Caesar salad?? I could cry. The "crostini" croutons were 1000% out of a bag that you're given in a school cafeteria, the cheese was absolutely Kraft that's been on the shelf forever, and there was NO DRESSING 😢😢😢😢.

We did not complain because the staff literally could not have cared less about our experience to begin with. I cannot fathom how this place has 5 star reviews unless people have not been outside during the pandemic and they're just so happy to eat out of their apartments?? Lucy, please step up your game as we can't have DC food over here being a true...

Heard great things about this place and was somewhat disappointed. The food that we did receive was fantastic, but my party waited over an hour for one pizza and got an undercooked doughy stretchy “pizza” which we sent back. We just closed out and left, seemed like they were way overcrowded/ may want to hire more kitchen/service staff. When we complained about the wait for the pizza they gave us a plate of dry burnt toast, no sauce oil or anything which seemed just disrespectful tbh but it a what it is. Someone also brought us one free shot of limoncello (table of 3…) but kinda felt like an “ok damn!” situation. I’d love to see them care a bit more about guest experience. They also gave us a makeshift table right by the door where everyone is walking in and out, wouldn't care normally but man it was my birthday, and we had a reservation! Def check it out if you want great food but are not on a time crunch or expecting fantastic service. Will emphasize that the food was really good, the service was just sadly disappointing and i really hope they...

EDIT: After writing this review i went over some previous reviews. The owner will not take responsibilty for the actions of his staff. To the owner. I have my receipts and I have a bill and letter from my doctor concerning the food poisening. Disrespect me in this review or otherwise, call ME a liar and ill contact "Fox on Your Side" Channel 5 promptly.

Be careful this place WILL GIVE YOU FOOD POISENING. People dont realize what a vector for food borne illnesses pizza is. If the person kneading the dough has dirty hands and they don't cook you're pizzza thoroughly the yeast in the dough exponentiates the virus and bacteria that causes food poisoning. The pizza here often comes out with overly burnt edges and chewy centers (disgusting) it's obvious they don't know what they're doing and have the oven at too high a temperature. I've talked to the owner. He is arrogant and makes excuses for his staff.

The service isn't even good here. Don't support this awful food...

super cute place and nice waitstaff but their pizza from the sit down portion was not it. I don’t expect toppings to reach the edge of the crust but there was a ridiculous amount of crust. nduja sausage was okay but kind of flavorless for a sausage that’s supposed to pack a punch. the pathetic butts of tomatoes are self explanatory in the picture and the shredded mozz and « dollops » of ricotta seemed like an afterthought that didn’t add anything. just overall really bland and sad for a $20+ pie when red light is down the street and martha dear isn’t far either. also got the bruschetta which was good but not like super slay, nothing to write home about, same with wine
