Main Street Brew House — Restaurant in Washington

I was in PA for the first time over the weekend for a concert. After the show we wanted to check out a local dive bar and found this place. It had a great selection, but that older dirty-blonde bartender was had the most AWFUL attitude ever. At first she seemed extremely annoyed that I was even asking her for something. My boyfriend asked her what a good local drink was, referring to beer. This seemed to anger her more, she’s like locals drink beer. Then he asked about the Great Lakes beers they had on tap, she just star d at him like he said something out of line, I proceeded to read off the taps, because there were 4 kinds of Great Lakes, and she was eventually just like “you probably just want an IPA or something” and proceeded to pour a random IPA, (he doesn’t like IPA) that I ended up drinking. The patrons were very nice, that’s where the 2 are coming from, but as for this woman, she just made us feel less than welcome, and we didn’t even want to “bother” her for another beer. So after being ignored by this woman, trying to get the bill, another bartender grabbed it for us and we left. Had it not been for her making us feel annoying and unwelcome, we without a doubt would’ve stayed for a few more rounds. Looking at other reviews, seems I’m not the only one to have this experience. My favorite hometown Washington bar. I’ve had lots of good times at this place. Some of my favorite people go here regularly, so I enjoy coming because many people know me. Vicki is super nice a good conversationalist - knows how I like my drinks and my drinking habits even lol. She’s very fast too and can juggle many drink orders at once. It’s a typical dive bar type atmosphere but that’s why I love it. Rowdy people don’t cause issues because they usually get escorted outside pretty quick by the regulars or staff. Oh and it’s cigarette smoker friendly. If you want a reliable bar to go to if you’re not familiar with the bars in Washington and are visiting go here because drinks are a good price. How come the complaints are about the older blonde owner and nothing else??? Are we seeing a pattern or running theme here??! II heard several people had problems with the owner and won't go in. I never once had a problem with the owner until recently. Many patrons know me and say hi. She literally banned me on mistaken identity. I was baffled and willing to prove my case, but when I told her the truth, she said "Idk." She didn't go on facts. She went on what she "thought" she heard with no verifiable proof.
