Power Nightclub — Restaurant in Washington

This is a ZERO star review Power nightclub is a scam and the owner Mimi MUST not care about risking her well being for her horrific business practices!!!! Only someone who isn't afraid to risk bodily harm and/or litigation would take 10k for services and then NOT RENDER THEM. I was scheduled to perform at an event with Devin the DUDE headlining. The DAY OF the event with nearly 1000 ppl outside ready to attend the event they paid for, SHE DOESNT SHOW UP! Every single person from performers to vendors to ticket holders lost their money. She didn't answer any phone calls including the 50 plus calls made to her through a reputable third party Event Nation who secured the venue. This woman took 9000 dollars, put it in her pocket and said a big EFF YOU to two hard working YOUNG BLACK business owners. This woman is a liar and thief and if you think we are stopping at a negative review we aren't! On top of the money lost, you have damaged this brands reputation because you are an unprofessional LYING THIEF smh. Keep doubting the black dollar Ms. Mimi, you screwed over the wrong ones this time. I hope you reap every poisonous seed you...

The three stars is because it have my friends and I something to do and a venue for some local artists to perform.

Update: overall friends and I enjoyed ourselves.. small.. vip service available I think the club is either 18+ or 21+. The children (younger patrons) weren't rowdy everyone was just hanging on a Sunday night. Music.. so-so.. they catered to the crowd so it was mumble rap a little rhiana.. oh but the GoGo blast/spurt was pretty nice for us natives .. Club was supposed to open at maybe 10 or earlier.. free til 12 with Eventbrite.. free tequila shots til 11. They made us wait til after 11 to avoid giving out shots. Just freaking say u don't Wana give away shots and instead make em $5 or something. Can't wait until they build a condo...

Prepaid purchased $20 parking here for an event through "ParkWhiz" for a echostage concert.

When we arrived the security team quickly became hostile, mocked us, and told us (in more profane words) they would not honor the reservation as they do not do business with that app and told us if we parked here they would tow us (note - they do work with ParkWhiz...have successfully purchased parking here in past).

This left us with no where to park during a rainstorm...

Very unprofessional and employ bully like tactics (jeer, laugh, get in your face, threaten etc...)

Would not recommend...
