On 6/25/24 I purchased a ten piece mixed chicken (legs and thighs), with 2 small coleslaw being the sides for me & hubby. After eating two pieces of chicken, I had a stomach ache with nausea. I asked my husband was he feeling sick as well after eating the chicken and he replied just a little. He also stated that he tasted a fish taste from the chicken and it smelled a little off. I must say that I too tasted a fish taste but just assumed that maybe Sharks had just used fish batter for the chicken which I wouldn't mind. We couldn't eat the coleslaw because upon first bite, it was easy to taste that it was spoiled. I'm reporting this because this issue has the potential to cause detrimental effects to ANY customer. We ordered a Shrimp PoBoy and a Catfish PoBoy. Wait time was reasonable. Lettuce and tomato were barely noticeable on both sandwiches. There were six small shrimp on the 8" roll. Bread was good. Remoulade sauce was very tasty, but thin and drippy. Plenty of catfish on that sandwich. We ordered an eight ounce side of coleslaw. Didn't check the bag until we got to the park. Two forks, but no slaw. Called to tell them. At that point, would have been better with a credit, but the person said to come get it. We did. I had a delightful experience at Sharks fish and chicken. I don't really fancy reviews but this an exception. I was at the one on Pennsylvania Ave close to my grandma.
The atmosphere was warm and inviting, the service impeccable, and the menu offered a fantastic array of delicious dishes.
