This was the worst delivery service I have had in some time. Companies need to make sure they have the right people for the job. I go online to order pizza for me and the hubby for our date night in. I have never ordered delivery from papa John's but this is the only pizza shop that delivers to my area and I didn't want to drive. I ordered the HUGE XL. Ok great! The pizza comes and I'm ready to dig in... guess what there was 12 small little slices of pizza. Looks like a regular large pizza! So I call the shop from the number in my confirmation email. First a very unprofessional male answers. I asked to speak to a manager.. He says what? May I speak to a manager. I young girl comes to the phone and knew nothing about the menu. Unreal. I asked her name Julie and I asked the head managers name Steve and when would he be in... Sunday, when should I call or stop by after 5pm. Ok I'm on my way to return my pizza for a refund. As you can see I ended up driving anyway. I get there ask for the manager Julie and the gentleman says there is no one here by that name bit I'm the manager Steve! He then tells me that the small size pizza I was looking at was the Huge XL! At this point this place was so unprofessional I wanted to leave asap. Just give me a refund and let me go. I am not overly picky. I do however work in retail management and I know great customer service and poor customer service. This was possibly the worst I have seen in some time. Read moreI have ordered from this store numerous times over the past eight months and each time (except once) has been a 2-3 hour ordeal. Excuses I have received from them for their insane delays have ranged from: there was a mix-up in processing the order, we called but you didn't answer (always untrue), we didn't see the order come through. The delivery drivers frequently get lost and this delays delivery even longer (and requires a ton of time on the phone). And although I always pay with a credit card online, two drivers have demanded cash from me (one for the total price, one for a "delivery fee") and I've had to call their managers. Whenever I've called to inquire about the status of my order when my order is already late (again, at least an hour - 2 hours late), the managers are rude and argue with me. They refuse to accept any type of responsibility even though they clearly can't train or manage their staff. I don't believe I've ever left an online review for a restaurant/store before, but this is a consistent problem: consistently the worst service I've ever received from any restaurant/store. Read moreAbsolutely terrible management. I placed an order through Postmates, which included an addition of pepperoni that I paid for, and which was not included when I received it. Rather than refund me the roughly 2 bucks that I spent for the additional topping, the "manager" said that this was an issue that I had to take up with Postmates; there was nothing he could do. Since there's no direct number for Postmates, which I informed him of numerous times, and I didn't want to "consume the evidence" I told him I was happy to return it. He continued to raise his voice and agreed that I should just return it. Of course, the poor Uber driver was terribly confused, but was willing to assist as necessary. I was able to get a response from Postmates with a full refund. Good job and thank you, Postmates. I certainly hope the poor deliverer was compensated as she did nothing wrong. However, this Papa Johns has absolutely TERRIBLE management. They clearly don't care about repeat customers. There are too many good places to go eat out on Capotol Hill to waste your time...
