This was our first visit—and most likely our last—all because of the horrible service. The food was meh as well - not a lot of options to choose from and everything was under seasoned. One of the water cups had someone's lipstick on it. The atmosphere and the vibe were nice, but our server completely ruined the experience.
Cesar had an attitude and was visibly and audibly annoyed when we asked about the Michelin-star tacos they were offering temporarily. A reminder to Cesar: we don’t work here—it’s your job to know these things and guide guests patiently. Instead, we had menus thrown at us, and he loudly tapped on the menu to show us where the tacos were (again, tacos that are usually not on the menu, which is why questions are to be expected). All this without saying a word—just tapping, as if we were morons and he was fed up with our “stupid” questions.
But wait, there’s more. Cesar brought us the check halfway through our first order. Instead, we asked for menus to order more food, and he tried to bring a check again the second the next order was dropped. Not once did he ask if my husband wanted another drink when his glass was empty. I honestly have no idea why our server was in such a rush—our entire visit was maybe 30 minutes, and we spent $70. It’s not like we were lingering at the table ordering free chips and salsa (which, for the record, they don’t serve anyway). Plus, he had more than plenty of tables to make money - a 6-top, an 8-top, a 4-top and a couple of 2-tops. I guess it’s not about quality—it’s about quantity for this guy.
This is the first time I’ve ever left a bad review for any reason, but we had been looking forward to a relaxing dinner and instead were made to feel completely unwelcome. Point taken—never again.
Oh, and the "quesadilla" was just a larger taco (see photo attached). The fish taco was the only...
Read moreAh, Tacombi -- a vibrant fiesta of flavors that turns a simple meal into a culinary carnival. This isn't just any Mexican eatery; it's a place where avocados aren't just smashed, they're elevated to art on the Avocado Tostada, and corn isn't just grilled, it's transformed into a star-studded performance in the form of Corn Esquites.
But let's taco 'bout the main event: the tacos. The Carne Asada Tacos strut onto your plate, bold and beefy, followed by the Seared Fish Tacos, which make a splash with their fresh, zesty flavor. But the real showstopper? The Al Pastor Tacos. This perfect Mexico City marvel, with its marinated pork pirouetting with pineapple, is like a dance of flavors in your mouth. And let's not burrito 'round the bush--the La Bisteca Burrita is a masterpiece of marinated steak that's as tender as a love song in burrito form.
Vegetarians, fear not! The Vegetarian Quesadilla, loaded with sautéed mushrooms, is so good it could convert even the most devout carnivore. It's the kind of dish that makes you question everything you thought you knew about the humble quesadilla.
The service at Tacombi? Imagine your best friend, if your best friend was a taco wizard. Friendly, fast, and fluent in the language of delicious flavors, the staff make you feel right at home in this culinary party. The atmosphere is lively, colorful, and will make you want to stay all day.

Read moreYou can tell someone really put a lot of thought into this restaurant. I am Mexican myself and when I walked in I wanted to sing along with the music and couldn’t wait to taste the food (which was wonderful). This place was great but I was a little sad by my experience. It’s seems like the kitchen is a well oiled machine but the service was the most surprising I have ever experienced. When you sit at your table you are given the menu which you can actually fill out to indicate what you’d like, which is very cool. I was under the impression I had to take it to the kitchen (an open concept) and place it somewhere to put in our order. We sat for a while wondering. I did ask someone in passing for some water and I ended up asking about where to place my menu/order. She explained she wouldn’t mind taking them and even got us the water and asked if we needed anything else. Very kind woman but I could tell she did this because she was being helpful but it was very obvious she wasn’t our server. Someone else served our food and left without a word. I eventually had to ask who our server was. It ended up being the person who sat us and served the food. I got up to ask for a refill of my drink because by this point we were almost done and our server hadn’t acknowledged us. I was approached by our server while waiting at the bar and she asked if I needed anything and it was awkward and I felt like an inconvenience. It wasn’t busy at all. Overall I liked this place but it came across very poorly managed. I hope others have abetter experience and it was just...
