Terrible! If I could leave 0 stars I would. Worst customer service ever! We came here for my friends graduation with a party of 12. Our reservation was at 2:15 mins you we did arrive 10 min late due to traffic however the reservation claims they have a 15 minutes grace period. Therefore we had 5 mins left in the grace period. We were seated at a 5 top of course since they were 12 of us we were confused as to why he sat us at a 5 top. We told him this table doesn’t accommodate 12 people and he said I know however there no tables available. Being that we made a RESERVATION for 12 PEOPLE I don’t understand why there wasn’t a table reserved for 12 individuals! Melvin the manager stated that due to brunch is over at 2:30 it’s first come first served basically. Which is fine but why would you accept reservations if you can’t reserve a table. Eventually a table got up and we were able to be accommodated. When seated we were notified that food will not be available until 4:00pm mins you we were told this at 2:30. If someone has a reservation for 12 people for a graduation lunch at 2:15 it would make sense to notify them that food isn’t available from 2:30pm to 4:00pm right ? Then we asked if we could order mimosas for 6 people out of the 12 we were told that everyone at the table has to order a mimosas for us to get it even though it’s per person. Mind you we had a someone under 21 at the table !!!!! So you telling me a minor would have to order a drink for everyone to get the drink as well. Ridiculous! So we decided not to get a mimosas and order drinks off the menu. My friends mother went around the table and took everyone’s drink order since no one was waiting on us. If another restaurant could easily accommodate us we would of left. Best believe we will never spend another dime ever and spread the word of the...
Read moreBiggest take away: “ We paid close to $200 for 3 bottles of $5 champagne... The bartender, Carly, is really cool."
The place was overpriced for the food and the service. (20% included gratuity was a bit much for me) Also, there were hardly any vegetarian/vegan options. I’m mostly plant based and most of the options had animals products. Only vegetarian options I remember were the waffles, avocado toast, and portobello mushroom “burger”.
The ambiance was nice and the servers were alright. The music was a bit hit or miss but I liked most of the hip hop and rnb they played. The tables were really small for my party of 6 and the stools they offered have no back support. The upstairs space seems like more of a bar place instead of some place you dine in at but it wasn’t terrible.
We went there for brunch. We got there at 1:40 PM to get the bottomless brunch but by the time we got seated at 2:25, it was too late. We had a reservation for 2:15 so that was more than a bit disappointing.
The food was mid. Not bad but certainly not good. I’d say a bit overpriced for such bland offerings. I had the juevos rancheros, eggs and pulled pork. I also had the avocado toast. Both needed much salt. The eggs were really runny too. My friends gave their food a 5/10.
The most disappointing was the bottomless mimosas which was $31 each. We paid close to $200 for 3 bottles of $5 champagne. You’d figure that for $31 a head you’d at least get $15 bottles. The drinks definitely tasted cheap. I don’t think I’ll be coming back. Just not worth the cost imo. I’ve had much better food for much cheaper at hole in the wall places. I’d give it a lower score but like I said the people were nice and attentive and I really liked...
Read moreGreat spot for happy hour with delicious cocktails and open seating! There's plenty of self-seating on the rooftop with lots of natural light pouring in from the floor to ceiling windows and skyline. I was one of the first people for happy hour and last to leave!
Mule on Happy Hour (5/5) - The Moscow Mules are a steal for $6 during happy hour and can choose the base alcohol - vodka, gin, or bourbon. The bourbon was my favorite, the vodka base wasn't as good.
Craft Cocktails (5/5) - "Spicy Seelbach", "Fall from Grace" cocktails, and the "Takoda Mule" are not on happy hour, but well worth paying full-price! The "Seelbach" has a spicy kick. "Fall from Grace" is like a sweet spiked apple cider. The "Takoda Mule" is refreshing from grapefruit, ginger, and lime that perfectly mask the vodka.
Skillet Mac and cheese (5/5) - Divine and hits the spot! Rich, creamy, and oozing with cheese, nom nom nom! One of my favorite mac & cheese spots in DC.
Veggie Burger (1/5) - Not a fan, doesn't taste fresh. Wouldn't be surprised if the patty was frozen. Although the bland patty was loaded with veggies, I couldn't taste any of them. I was searching for flavor and finally gave up after a few bites. I bummed that it came on a sad looking bun and not on a pretzel bun that I hoped for. The Tots with rosemary were the best part of the meal and came with the burger. They helped to compensate for the burger.
Good spot for happy hour and weekdays, but don't recommend Fri & Sat nights with sticky floors. Spilled drinks and plastic straws and ice cubes littering the floor - dirty and disgusting! The kitchen closes at 10pm and couldn't get my late night mac and cheese fix.
Looking forward to another happy hour when I'm...
