Tony's Breakfast — Restaurant in Washington

Sooo I've heard so much about this place but never had a chance to get down here! Soo having to run errands I was close to the area so 5-23-19 I pulled up and went in to My excitement fried chicken was sitting in the window staying heated. JC serviced me he was extremely nice and helpful even before knowing that it was my first time there. The place is small but manageable and it's a few seats outside and inside. Everything was neat and clean which was great , No Bathroom but I was more so focused on my Food lol. So I Ordered what was rightfully catchy and a definite welcome called the Welcome to H Street which was the Chicken and waffles which featured a Belgian Waffle and Three whole chicken wings. So lemme tell You that waffle!!!! Honey all on its own was Bomb as hell and the Softest most beautiful lightly tinted brown waffle ever!!! It didn't even need butter that Thang was so soft!!! melt in your mouth and I've never had a just right kinda waffle before but the softness makes it stand out totally. Not to mention it has a tint of maybe cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla something anyways it was perfect!!!!... The Chicken was Fried to Perfection not too cooked hard with just enough crisp not all greasy definitely Grade A Chicken indeed. Even if Chicken and Waffles weren't my Go-To that Welcome to Hear Street would definitely have Anyone a Fan with no hesitation honey chiiileee. I definitely don't regret my Purchase at All you hear me AT ALL!!!! :) everything was Exceptionally bomb. My Mom enjoyed her DC Steak n Cheese and Sweet Tea was really sweet but the ice will water it down she'll be Fine lol. I was going to eat here about a month ago for my first time and changed my mind. The lady that picked up the phone was extremely rude, for no reason at all. I ended that call and went somewhere else. Last week, I was in the area again, and thought I would give it another try. When I called to place the order, this time a gentleman picked up, and he was very welcoming. I had 3 pancake's, eggs, and bacon 2/10 (didn’t get a chance to take pics). YALL NO LIE!! A couple of hours later, I started feeling sick, like Covid sick (I know because I had it more than once before). I even took a Covid test to make sure, AGAIN that’s how sick I was. I ate the food around 11am and started feeling sick around 2pm. I felt terrible from around 2pm until I woke up out of my sleep to vomit around 2am the next day. Yes! I vomited all of the food from around 11am the previous day, all of it was still sitting on my stomach. I was so ill. I didn’t eat anything that day but the pancake’s, eggs, and bacon. The food tore me up so bad that I couldn’t do anything else for that day. It’s rare for me to get sick the way that I did. I wish I could know what that was about. I've never been there but I have ordered from them three times and I'm I just ordered from them as I'm writing. The Fish Dinner was my first buy via Uber Eats. The dinner was so good. So many people told me to try me out. Tonight I'm trying the chicken and waffles and I will be sure to review and let you know how it was. And, try the Fish Dinner You get to select which fish you want + I had the Whiting. Yams and mac n cheese. And it was like that - make you want to go to sleep afterward. But I didn't.

Change the grease and please don't use the same grease for all fried foods.

The OLD grease had old grease odor and the chicken was like soaked in it and hard with absolutely no seasoning at all. Who does that? Yup. Tonys. Whyyyy? In my color purple voice. That fish dinner saved the rating at 3 stars. Sadly disappointed😰🤒😥😥😥😢😢😢😢🤕😤😭
