I generally have a good experience at other tropical smoothie locations. This one is by my work. I went in one day to order a detox green smoothie. I asked for yogurt to be added and confirmed that there was no sugar in it as I am a diabetic. The next day I went and ordered the same exact thing but just asked for a little extra yogurt to be added. When I got the smoothie it was super sweet. I went back to ask if there had been a mistake and if I could get another one as I cannot consume that much sugar. They told me the yogurt that was added was sweetened vanilla, when the previous day they said it was not sweet. Anyhow I just asked for another smoothie to be made without the yogurt as I can’t have the sugar. The manager said that because it was not their fault I would have to pay full price for replacement smoothie.
I then reminded her I literally have to throw the first one away because I can’t have that much sugar, and she continued to say it was not their fault and there’s no refund or replacement. I was not blaming them, just simply asking to remake it without the yogurt. There was nothing else I could do and my lunch break was coming close to an end not many other healthy places around, so all I could do was pay again for another smoothie without the added sugars so essentially today I paid over 20 dollars for one detox...
Read moreI typically have the beat experience ordering at this location but it appears that there’s been a change in management. The new manager decided to completely disregard the fact that I mentioned I am a frequent customer and decided to insist on debating me about the smoothie that I order for my children just about twice a week. She said the menu item was discontinued and then instead of mentioning that there were alternatives she began to debate me about the items I was attempting to order instead of offer an upscale or an alternative. So what used to be a pleasant opportunity for my children to eat healthy turned into a debate about menu items and an up charge to the order that I typically order with nothing new to try. Missed opportunity for sure and that’s a shame. There’s a young woman in the store with locks that you’ll should’ve made manager. She’s always very professional and wanted to assist her but of course she couldn’t over step her manager and simply place our order in the manner in which she typically would. In the end I left with only a belly of aggravation and declined ordering the food portion that I would typically order. One less food option down...
Read moreIf I could give it a 0 I would. Yesterday night I went with my mother to this store because she realized she forgot her drink. The manager on duty addressed my mother with a nasty attitude and said she would have to check with the manager who was there earlier that day. So my mother went back to her car to find her receipt. The “manager” who was helping her then proceeded to complain about my mother to another coworker while in earshot of other customers. I assumed she did not realize we were together. Either way it’s inappropriate. After my mother showed her the receipt she became even nastier and started slamming things around the prep area. I guess she was frustrated that we actually had a receipt. I said “excuse me” and told her that she may have the other worker prepare our drink. I did not trust how she would handle making our drink if she couldn’t handle a simple customer service conversation. I came in planning to purchase food from here separate from my mother’s situation, but the rude,nasty interaction I witnessed made me sick to my stomach.
