Marino's Trattoria — Restaurant in Watchung

Disappointed. I am a regular here and I love their salads. Tonight I got one and as I got to the bottom of the salad to my surprise there was a bug (maybe a roach?) upside down chilling in it. I'm so disgusted and I will not be returning to this establishment. I really love their salads so I'm very sad that I can no longer eat here :(

Update: was given the choice of a refund for my salad or a new salad =/ thanks but no thanks. I took the refund. I find it funny that the owner decided to only respond to my post instead of any of the other negative reviews. "Anyone can post anything" ??? Yes, I posted my salad that had A BUG ON THE BOTTOM OF WHAT I ALREADY HAD EATEN. Smh that's not just posting anything. Instead of saying that, take accountability that my salad from your establishment had a bug in it, sir. We have google reviews for a reason, I'm entitled to write my experience. Nobody's trying to ruin your reputation, if anybody it's who was in charge of making that salad that particular night. My review and my phone conversation with you and your worker was very respectful. Learn to take constructive criticism....

pretty basic Italian/pizza shop. I stop in once in a while to grab a slice or a wrap.

the grilled chicken Caesar wrap is delicious. they don’t usually skimp on the chicken! their chicken is thin, well seasoned and grilled perfectly and the lettuce is fresh. sometimes they add a little too much dressing (from my personal standpoint). the wrap comes with homemade chips which always have a nice crunch.

the grilled chicken penne vodka is another dish I’ve tried that I can’t get too often because it’s probably a day’s worth of calories— but it’s sooo good. 10/10 recommend.

the pizza is always good— I typically get a pepperoni slice.

they have a decent selection of drinks, desserts (which I’ve never tried), and chips. and a lot of seating.

I had a very unpleasant experience at Marinos this past Thursday. My children were eating lunch and their friends decided to come and join them because I was the one that drove them to the pizza place. Long before I know, I’m getting a call that I have to pick up the children. The lady would not let the kids eat in there. The lady not only did not let the kids eat in there, but was rude, inconsiderate, harassed like, unfair, and did not carry out these abilities as best she could have.
