Arandas Mexican Cuisine — Restaurant in Waterbury

Disappointing. Went to the Arandas in Stowe and as a large family we ordered just about one of everything on the menu! The tacos were better than average and so was the burrito. The enchilada sauce was extremely salty and the pico was lackluster at best, I get it, not the best time of the year for fresh tomatoes. The refried beans tasted like they had been reheated many times over and had the consistency of wallpaper paste.

The overall low review is not just because the food was simply okay, but because when we were handed our food the person who gave it to us didn't even know what we ordered or if they were giving us the correct number of items. As it turned out there were multiple mistakes with our order (received corn instead of flour tortillas, did not receive the $7 guac we ordered, but did receive extra pico and chips).

If you don't mind paying full service restaurant prices for take out from a gas station then by all means you should give Arandas in Stowe a try. Otherwise, maybe check out one of their other locations or wait for Mad Taco to reopen...

When they first opened this was some of the best Mexican I have had in VT. However, as time has gone on, it seems to be hit or miss, I've even received a couple of cold meals.

This is also the second (and last) time that I've been told that they're closed before closing. If you're going to close at 6:45 pm then put in that you close at 6:45 pm not 7:00 pm, and if business is that good, you don't need mine.

The best Mexican food I’ve had since living in Texas! We tried their Barre location and were so excited when they opened in our town! I’ve tried several different meals (working my way through the menu!) but I highly recommend the pork quesadillas, crispy chicken tacos or the chicken enchiladas with verde sauce. I’m a huge fan of their pico too. You really can’t go wrong here. Staff are always super friendly every time I’m there....
