Asian Garden — Restaurant in Waterbury

Tables were dirty and sticky from the start we should have walked out then but we decided to give them a chance the older lady moved us to another table never cleaning the dirty ones we ordered a large shrimp and broccoli in garlic sauce and 8 pcs chicken wings after about 20 minutes she comes out with about 6 tablespoons of rice and we ordered a large the garlic sauce seemed like a light splash and the chicken was old inside looks yellow IM not sure if it’s the fact that we sat in she gave us so little rice when we ordered a quart and the alleged 8 wings are really 4 chopped rice was cold they dont clean the jumbo shrimp leaving the veins and poop in and they didn’t bring out any plates for us to eat off like we was supposed to dig in and eat from the plates we were served I will never go to this place again my regular place Highland Garden food is always fresh and hot and what you pay for you get asian garden charged $30.00 for this garbage and we left hungry and not feeling to well Highland garden i get more food and it’s about 5 to 8 dollars less anyways if you eat here good luck i will not return to...

Ever since we moved to rural CT from Flushing, NY (home to the largest Chinatown in the US and an epicenter of fabulous restaurants serving various regional styles) we tell our friends that no matter which direction we travel from our home, we are 45 minutes distant to the nearest bad Chinese restaurant. Well our horizons just expanded to include Asian Garden in Waterbury.

We should have walked out the moment we entered to a foul odor, but the well rated Indian restaurant nearby had just closed and we were wicked starved. I have two goto’s whenever I try a new Chinese restaurant: Hot & Sour Soup and Shrimp with Lobster Sauce. My wife was more adventurous and chose Spicy Chicken & Shrimp.

My soup was watery, much too sweet and lacked umami. The lobster sauce completely flavorless. The chicken & shrimp dish was also too sweet and not spicy enough. At least the chicken & shrimp were properly cooked:...

My experience when I came to this restaurant was terrible the man at the counter was extremely rude soon as I walked in with my classmates, we had already placed our orders instead of greeting us and being friendly as you should in costumer service the guy insisted on us answering we’re we staying or leaving he forgot to put our food in bags and give us forks he gave us trouble with our payment because THIER chip system isn’t working the woman who came out was also rude and they had an attitude because of their system not being fully up to date, he slammed the register and gave us argument the entire time.. we had to request for a manager! we will not be ordering or eating from this place ever again.. the food wasn’t good you would think with that type of attitude at least the food would be amazing, but tuhhh...
