If you would like to parish while attempting to enjoy food from this establishment...come one, come all, step right up!!! Also, if you do not have health insurance, a living will, or life insurance, please refrain from indulging, as one would earn a grand prize without expenses paid to the emergency department, with a diagnosis of stomach poisoning!
What drives me crazy is why do we have fast food restaurants or fast food employees for that matter? The order is never correct, almost force feeding you something you don't want, in the name of laziness in an attempt to cut corners, to keep from having to put in the muscle to make another batch. I got cajun rice the first time with my order, I don't eat beef, so clearly someone wasn't actively listening. I guess in a perfect world I would love to get my own order ready to ensure that my order is correct.
If I happen to order from the drive-thru window, its partly do to the fact that I don't have the time, or I don't want to be bothered, simply put. It's a thorn in my side to have to drive back due to lack of accuracy, which means that you dont value my time, or what it took to earn the money that I'm choosing to spend. It's the summer time, everyone knows that gas is at an all time high, so not only did I pay for poison, but now I've wasted another gallon of my unleaded gas that is not provided back to me in the form of a monetary refund.
I ordered coleslaw as a side with the cajun fish, what could go wrong???....lots. I drove to a park, since the weather was beautiful to have dinner with my family! I placed a sporkful of coleslaw in my mouth and I almost lost it! I spit out 🤢🤢🤢🤮🤮🤮🤮 the coleslaw and was completely appalled/disgusted with popeyes. Upon returning to Popeyes, the employee that I spoke to seemed confused as to why I had that coleslaw in the first place. See from the tale of throw your general manager and co worker under the bus, the coleslaw should have been discarded the night prior at closing..The day time manager was aware, and no one, not even the general manager took the items off the shelf so that spoiled product wouldn't be sold. I felt like I was scolded for bring back the remainer of the fish back...(one bite was eaten, and the biscuit was broken in half, one bite eaten there too). I was able to get a refund, but America let this be the reason why you cook your own meals instead of depending on these fast food chains...its pretty clear that these places such as this establishment, will take your money, give you a closed bag, and pray you don't check your food, so that they are not held accountable for accuracy, professionalism, integrity, and respect. Read moreMy wife and I have been going to this business since it opened some years ago. We went it today 9-9-25 around 5:30 and ordered the 8 piece chicken box with some mash & biscuits. The guy who took our order and I've seen him there before and think is the manager (central american) told us that he didn't have enough chicken to complete the order when I can clearly see 2 trays with enough thighs, wings & drum sticks to complete a simple 8 piece order. I asked him if it was because I opted for a chicken breast out of the 8 pieces which I understood if that was the reason I had to wait and he said NO.. You have to wait 16 to 20 minutes. Why do we have to wait when he knows and I can clearly see that he has enough chicken to process this order??? First time this happens in this store the only one we visit in Waterbury and it made no sense. Then he tells me because the chicken was too small LIAR 🤥. I turned around and walked away a few steps and left my wife at the counter. He then asked her if she still wanted the order (waiting 20 minutes) she said no, he cancel the order and just walked away like the IDIOT that he is. Total waste of time. We decided to drive down to the other location on Chase Ave in different cars. Walked in and asked for the same order. The person who took our order told me he was short on regular drums sticks and asked us if it was ok to mixed it up with spicy drum sticks. Which we answered yes of course we are hungry here to eat (dine in). Made no issues about it very professional took care of his customers made us feel welcome and mostly importantly at the end of the day his business. Made a $ale. This person at the other location needs to be sent in for some serious training if not be be FIRED. Terrible...
Read moreI am standing here with about 10 people waiting for there orders. I have been here for 15 mins after I went through the drive thru where they for got my sides. I asked for the manager and I was ignored the manager is in her phone in the back and won't come to the front. My kids meals where just tossed in the bag and falling out no kids toys. When asked for the manager a second time the worker in the front said that I went through the drive thru and she doesn't work there. I told her I don't care and that I asked for the manager. She walked off saying that I don't need to speak to her in a rude tone. By this time I have been waiting for 25 mins along the the other people that have been there for more than a half hour or more waiting for there orders. Finally the manager comes and I give her my receipt and tell her I was missing two side dishes and kids toys. She packs two kid meals with kid bags that was never given. So I got two extra kids meals when I just need sides. So annoyed took what was given and left leaving the people that were there before me still waiting for there food. The workers are rude and I know from here on out Popeyes in Waterbury will not be one I will...
