Apple Cinemas Waterbury — Local services in Waterbury

I have been visiting apple for 2 years and really respected the staff untill the rude manager(Short rude looking white lady) tried to embarrass me and my friend for bring in a $1 fanta. We have been going here and showing or drinks in our hand and this is the first time anything has been said. She says to us there's a big sign that says no food and drink. Fine I understand policy but don't be rude about it. Also when we went in 10 minutes early this woman had the audacity to motion us like we were children pointing us to the door. and get mad and say move,! move !move ! we're not ready! I hate to play the race card but I think it was because we were young black men both 20 years old. No way she would be so condescending to an older white man. I call her a SWS(Secret White Supremacist) It's quite sad. Teach her about love and compassion, maybe she needs to go to college for managment/ leadership courses. Apple you can much better. I was thinking of getting black Twitter to boycott this institution because mostly blacks and Latinos go here but I want to give you guys another chance and I don't want you to think Im petty this woman literally was treating us like chlidren. I want to give you guys a second chance because the rest of your staff has always been so kind to us. How could you be so rude to someone??? I wish I had recorded this women. She saw an easy target in to black men and wanted to treat us like were some slaves fresh off the boat. I feel like she saw young black men( just turned 20) as easy targets because she thinks she can talk to us rude and get away. If we ask her why she was being rude she would have probably have called the police. Thats the story of blacks in America so welp. We're customers that support your institution, please have some kindness and compassion. I have brought Apple at least 10 customers in the past that have become regular movie-goers. To conlcude if you can leave a response and a number if you want to talk about it thanks for bearing with me....

I have gone there two times this month and a couple of times a few months ago. All the times, especially the last two, the bathrooms were filthy. They should be cleaned and restocked between each movie. A couple of the toilets were clogged with waste and tissue and tissue all over the floor and water. Quite a few others either had no tissue, toilet and floor had pee all over it and water, no hooks on 99% of the doors or locks, no soap or paper towels and the floor looks like it's never mopped!!! Inside the theater there was popcorn and candy on and in the seats and the floors were sticky. There's always only one person to take money to buy tickets, which is ridiculous. Most of them are very slow and hold conversations with people before and after they purchase tickets while there's a long line of people rushing to get in before they miss movie. I don't think you should have raised your rates to $9.00 either!! i"m sure you're not as busy since you raised your rates!! It's too expensive to go to movie nowadays! Also, picking seats at register is ridiculous also!! It's hard to tell where exactly you'll sitting and who you're sitting next to. Most times someone else is in your seat too!! When I used to pick my seat, I usually liked to sit in middle row and in middle seat. I don't like to sit in between a bunch of kids/teenagers/rude people that talk and laugh loud and use their phones. Last time 4 guys came late to movie and stunk like pot and liquor and talked and laughed loud through the whole movie!!!After being asked multiple times to be quiet, someone went to get usher, he came and whispered briefly to them and after about ten minutes, started getting loud and obnoxious again!! All of these issues makes me not want to go back there again and want to know what you're going to do about these issues!! It was my 4 year olds first time ever coming to the movie theater. He was so exited. I got there 10-15 min before the movie was supposed to start so we could get snacks etc. i waited for 20 minutes out at the lobby because there was absolutely NOBODY working. I came to the realization that we must have been the only 2 people in the building. I called about 3 or 4 times and the phone just rang (it was eerie) The door was open, and all the movies were playing .. i had pre purchased my tickets and snacks online but there wasn’t a soul to be found in this theater. My movie was starting so i went ahead and found our seats,!i kept getting up from my seat to check the front desk, i was honestly afraid and didn’t feel safe as a mom you think the worst, About half an hour or so into the movie I peeked out to see about 5 other confused and concerned customers waiting up at the front desk. At this point I thought something bad must’ve happen to the associate so we decided to call the police to check it out. At this point it was over an hour later the police and the manager both came in, i was aggravated that the entire movie basically over and my son couldn’t enjoy popcorn or snacks (again, that i pre paid for) i came out and told the manager and she let me take the candy and gave me a refund for the popcorn. She was kinda annoyed to be there or at the situation or maybe because the cops were called I’m not sure. We received no explanation or apologies.
