I try not to leave negative reviews about companies because sometimes, things "happen" but in this case. I have to let people know what I dealt with. I would give zero stars if I could, but unfortunately, google makes you select at least one star.
I placed an order for their "garbage can" pizza online. My fiancee went to pick up the pizza, and to his surprise, they told him that they had no online orders, and that they should go to "Papa Johns" instead, and see if my order was there. Huh?
So my fiancee calls me to let me know what happened, and I get upset because I know where I called, and I know that I have an EMAIL confirmation from Papa Romanos...NOT Papa Johns.
So I call Papa Ramonos to figure out what's going on...they explain to me that their "software" tried to call me back, but that I didn't answer, so my order was cancelled. Huh?? I NEVER received a telephone call from this place. I told the man that, and his response? "Because you have a 586 number, and we were calling from a 248 number, you probably just didn't answer." LMAO. Anyway, he offers to make the pizza, and I'm like, okay cool.
So my fiancee picks up the pizza and comes home. He asks me, "isn't there supposed to be bacon on the Garbage Can?" I tell him yes. Of course, there's NO bacon on the pizza at ALL. Not a stitch. So, we call them AGAIN, and guess what their response was? "You might need to look under some of the other toppings, because there's only a little bit of bacon. Also, sometimes the bacon gets burnt, so you may not recognize it as bacon." WHHHAAATTT????!!!
So, I politely tell the man that no, I'm not overlooking the bacon, they just didn't put any on the pizza. I asked what could be done, especially since we'd already been there ONCE and they'd cancelled our order. They rude guy says "Well you didn't answer our phone call, and as far as the pizza is concerned, all I can do is credit you $0.35 off your next pizza, that's the cost of a topping." As if I'd EVER order from them again!! Please.
The sad thing is, this could have easily been handled differently if the guy (whoever he is) had bothered to at least act as if he cared, and offered a reasonable solution. But he couldn't have cared less. I don't understand why people work in the customer service industry, if they DON'T care about customers. I plan to take this to their corporate office, as well as to the owners, the better business bureau, and the news. Only because of how rude and arrogant the guys was. He was COMPLETELY unwilling to help, and that is what upset me more than anything else. Mistakes happen, but his attitude was inexcusable. Never again. Spend your money where people care...

The negligible and reckless business practices of this company are a lawsuit waiting to happen.
No one should EVER have to go through what I just experienced—especially during a WORLDWIDE PANDEMIC.
We chose to place a delivery order with this location because their Google listing indicated no contact delivery. When we called to place the order, the employee on the phone asked if we’d like for the delivery to be contactless, to which we said YES! We paid over the phone and added a tip on our card so we wouldn’t have to worry about signing anything or giving a cash tip.
I was disappointed when the delivery driver showed up at my door with a receipt for me to sign and handed me their pen to use. While I’m disappointed in this business’ failure to follow through with their promise to uphold what should be standard safety protocols within this “new normal” we’re all living in, the reason I’m leaving this review has less to do with that and EVERYTHING to do with the way in which the manager/owner addressed my concerns when I called to inform him of my experience regarding our interaction with the delivery driver after we were told it would be contactless.
Not only did the owner hang up on me before I was done explaining my issue the first time I called, when I called back, he was extremely rude and proceeded to tell me multiple times that this was “not his issue.”
He reasoned that it was my fault/issue because we never asked for contactless delivery (lie) and I should have refused to sign the receipt the delivery driver handed me. Issue solved, right? To this, I say no – not if delivery drivers are improperly trained on how to interact with customers during this time.
When I suggested he should listen to his customers concerns because they have valid points, he proceed to tell me that he owns multiple businesses and the customer is NEVER right.
Not once was he apologetic, nor did he attempt to listen to my concerns or show any sympathy for concerns his customers might have during this worldwide pandemic. Instead, he refused to take any ownership or accountability for the mistake and made me feel like I was the problem. He hung up on me a second time.
By the end I felt VERBALLY ABUSED by this owner and left without a resolution or peace of mind this would not happen to...
Read moreSo you're in the mood for pizza......well what do you get?
There are the fancy places, they use good, sometimes odd, ingredients and they are okay but that's not really what you're craving. You didn't want overdone expensive fancy food, you wanted pizza.
There are the dime a dozen franchises, you know what you're getting because they are all the same but that doesn't necessarily mean it's good. You eat it, the ingredients are low quality and you hate yourself for it after. The only good thing you can is that it was cheap and fast but you're not happy with it. That wasn't the pizza you wanted either.
Then there are the independent places, most are just greasy slop fests but some are good. Problem is it's different every time, it's whatever the owner decided to buy that week and whoever made it....the good pizza you had from them last week means nothing for the pizza you ordered tonight and some of them have some pretty silly prices because being independent they can charge whatever they want whenever they want. You didn't want to roll the dice you wanted pizza.
So what do you do? Does a happy medium between price, good ingredients and quality control even exist?
Well....it does and I found it for you, the Papa Romanos in Waterford checks every box! It's a franchise so they have accountability, uniformity and good prices, it's a small company and independently owned so they still care about the ingredients, service and the taste of their food plus it's a normal pizza joint!
So when you had that thought in your head of "pizza sounds good tonight", this place is what you were thinking about.
I found exactly what you were looking for.......enjoy and...
