Poor customer service and dishonest staff. We ordered takeout and it was delivered by a 3rd party. One item wasn't received. I called the restaurant for a refund. They said they gave it to the driver, but I have no way of verifying that. They offered to take down my name and provide the item for free the next time I came in to eat. I declined and asked for my money back. The woman on the phone said the manager wasn't there and that I needed to speak to Menufy, the company that processes their online orders, and ask for a refund. I spoke to Menufy, and they said they needed restaurant approval to process a refund. They called the restaurant, and the restaurant refused to authorize the refund, stating that I agreed to accept the item for free the next time I came in. The restaurant lied as I never agreed to that, I just wanted my money back. The refund amount was small and it would cost them the same amount to refund me as it would to give me a free item next time. At this point, the review is not about the money. It's about bad business and bad customer service and dishonesty. Despite the fact that the food is good, I won't be giving this business any more...

I came in for a carryout and I had a coupon from the monthly shopper and the Indian woman who worked there took all three coupons and I asked if I could have the other two back and she said no you could only use one and I said okay. The next month I received another coupon in the monthly shopper and I called in a to-go order and when I got there the same woman remembered who I was and I'm assuming that's because they're not that busy and started to argue with me that I had already used one coupon and could not use another. It was very embarrassing there was customers in the restaurant and she continued to argue with me that I can only use one coupon and I told her I used one last month but this was in the monthly shopper for this month. She continued to tell me no I couldn't use it I could only use one. It says nowhere in the ad that you can only use one coupon ever again. Most restaurants when they offer coupons you can order use the coupon come back the next day and use a coupon again. I feel it is very bad business on their behalf and I advise that no one try to use the coupon. I was very hurt by her actions and...

I go to a lot of Indian restaurants. It's hard to find good, honest, home style Indian food.

A lot of the places in Oakland county are ok at best, and use what the equivalent of gfs products would be.

Noor Jahans food was amazing. It felt like we were more in some bodies home than a restaurant, having a homemade meal, and sharing it with family and friends.

The lamb in the lamb biryani was perfectly cooked. The rice was fluffy and soft and very well flavored.

The chicken Tikka biryani was the same, perfectly seasoned chicken, incredibly tender, and delicious from the first bite to the last.

We had to try something vegetarian as well, because India has such an amazing vegetarian cuisine. The saag paneer didn't disappoint. (True it's not vegan, so no getting hurt feelings over that)

The paneer had the right amount of firmness to hold its shape while cooking, it didn't taste like it was frozen for a year and the gravy was unreal!

The service was top notch as well.

We really enjoyed the meal and the time spent here, and will definitely be...

My Mom and I visited Noorjahan today for the first time. We were celebrating “National Daughter Day”. It was amazing ! Kamron was our waitress and she was the nicest happiest helpful fast welcoming person we have ever met. She has an amazing smile. The food was phenomenal. The menus is huge! Music playing is wonderful. Decor and place setting is great. Table covers, flowers in vases on table, lines of water glasses. Kamron was very attentive to our needs. She was right there when we needed refills. She thanked us for coming and walked us to the door. We observed her kindness was to all the customers not just us! Which is terrific on a busy day to keep you composure and make everyone happy. We felt like family!! We definitely will be back !!! I recommended Noorjahan to everyone!! Rice pudding was the best I’ve ever had anywhere!!! They have. A great box take out lunch too!!

Have had carry out a few times here. Lunch box is a decent value for $10, you get two selections normally a meat and vegetable and rice. Entrees themselves are priced very well and the portion size is appropriate for a couple, compared to other restaurants that cost much more. The garlic naan was sooooo tasty, we'll definitely keep ordering that. The tandoori chicken has way more sauce than I'm used to, but this is a welcomed change, I think it is much more tasty this way. Lamb Biryani was very flavorful. Saad biryani was a little salty for me, but some might like that. Aloo gobi I feel could use a bit more cauliflower, but it still tasted good. Overall, the value, appropriate portion size, and flavor all line up for you to give Indian food a try here if you haven't yet!
