Hardee’s — Restaurant in Waterloo

That burger tasted like that made it, let it sit in the fridge for half hour, then dumped it on the tray. Not an iota of heat in that meat. I ordered without cheese but they slapped cheese on it anyway. It was like they premade the burger earlier in the day, then grabbed it out of the fridge once it was ordered. At least the fries were warm. Service was ok, didn't wait too long for my food, but others in the store were waiting far longer, before I even got there. While most of the employees looked like they were trying to push orders out, there was this one dude who wasn't doing crap. The entire time I was there, ordering, waiting for my food, then eating. The most work I saw him do was hand someone a single burger. The rest of the time he was just standing around, not doing anything, staring at everyone else, and occasionally whip out his phone to check twitter or something. Atmosphere was sad and depressing, customers quietly waiting for their food they ordered around 30 years ago, watching employees try their best (except for the one previously mentioned). Stopped in for breakfast. There were 3 workers, and a long wait. The staff were respectful, and helpful and told us they were waiting for biscuits to be done. Understandable. There were only 2 other customers and a family of 4 waiting at this visit. The poor rating is more for the restaurant aesthetics and environment. For being a newer revamped location, there were a lot of issues. I first noticed how unclean this location was in the lobby and bathroom. There was grime and grease everywhere. My feet stuck to the floor and the paper towel dispenser did not work in the men's bathroom. Men's bathroom was very dirty and overflowing trash. A stone pillar in the lobby area had broken stone off of it and the poster photo on the pillar had a centipede inside the frame! I found that amusing honestly. There were food crumbs everywhere. The ketchup dispenser was empty. When I received my breakfast platter, gravey was all over the under sides of the container making it impossible not to have gravey all over my hands as I opened the container. Rather unfortunate we had a bad experience at this location, I hope the issues...

Stay away at all cost.

Just went there and was told a 3 minute wait for our order, fine ok it’s 12:15 your busy I get it we ordered 2. Spent 20 plus dollars for 3 meals and four drinks. After about 10 minutes we get to the front was told after about five minutes at the window there was a wait for French fries and offered us CURLY fries instead I didn’t have the time to wait MORE so sure give us the fries, which turned out to be cold.

Spent 15 MINUTES in the drive thru in total for our order to be completely wrong. The “three minute wait food” was lukewarm, we got a burger instead of a hot ham and cheese and were missing a “three minute wait meal” entirely to top it off I called the store and they offered 3 free combos as they “couldn’t give refunds out over the phone” ….. little do they know I wasn’t on hold and heard the manager and worker talk about how they KNEW they had screwed up our order…

I’d love to hear from corporate about this. I’d give them an earful from my kids who are now screaming and hungry because the food we ordered them isn’t...
