Hardee's — Restaurant in Waterloo

After a little over 2 years in Waterloo, we thought we'd give Hardee's a try. That won't happen again. First, we arrive in the drive through with no one ahead of us. There didn't even appear to be any, if only a few, cars in the parking lot. So you'd think the service would be fast. Wrong. We place our order and despite no one being ahead of us, are told to pull ahead and park. During the 5+ minute wait, we thought, "they must be killing the chicken for these sandwiches and kids meals" so you'd probably think our food came out piping hot... because they had to be cooking it this whole time right? Nope. The sandwiches and fries were warm at best, as if they'd been sitting in the warmer for some time. On top of that, they forgot the drinks for the kids meals. While they were getting the drinks for the kids meals, we realized they forgot the toys for the kids meals. By the time they got back with the milks, we decided to cut our losses and not even send the girl back for the toys. The food was blah. The service was meh. For a fast food restaurant that was the opposite of busy at the time, you'd think you'd get the freshest, hottest food and the best, fasted service, but you'd be wrong on both accounts. This finally explains to me why I barely see cars in the parking lot of drive. I recommend going to... well,...

Friendly staff, but unfortunately that was about it tonight. Got a Chicken Bowl and Chicken Quesadilla. Took about 10-15 minutes to get, there were about 4-5 of us from drive all pulled over to the side (I get it, you get busy) but when I am pulled over, kinda hoping my food will be made hot, or at least warm.

The Quesadilla is as if it were not left under the hot press for more than 10 seconds. More like a folded tortilla wrap was some warm shredded cheese and chicken. But that wasn't a huge deal. What was bad, though, was the chicken bowl. It was practically one large ball of solid beans, clumps of chicken, some tomatoes here and there, and rock hard rice grains scattered in said bean ball. It DID have some melted cheese on top, though, so not the end of the world.

I didn't want this coming off too bad, and every little thing tonight would've been okay if it was just that one thing, but my whole experience tonight was just simply... bad. I never leave reviews anywhere, but I used to have this Hardee's as my go-to in town, but recently, every visit has been not good in the slightest and tonight sorta cemented that.

I will go back in the future, hopefully it is better then, but tonight was pretty rough. But again, hey, at least the staff...

Don't know what's happening with Hardee's. Lack of staffing or lack of training. Can't get product. But they are slipping. Ordered the primal biscuit combo (small). Listed on reader board $7.79, on the receipt cost $8.09. Coffee good and hot. Primal Biscuit came with scramble egg on it. Not the fried egg. They could have told me of the substition. Didn't like it that way. The one I got with the fried egg, so much better. Also ordered the Frisco breakfast combo (small). I guess the Texas toast is Texas bread now. Diffently not toasted. The hash rounds tasted like old oil being used. Couldnt eat them. Ordered a side Biscuit and Gravy. Came with a big Biscuit. The gravy bowl was full. All looked good. Then I'm looking for the sausage in in the gravy. . NONE. What's...
