We had an extremely disappointing experience with King Pin Restaurant Maple Lanes, first off when we arrived, there was no one else there in the restaurant and it took over 15 minutes for the staff to even acknowledge us and come over (and they all saw us and ignored us) finally one came over & took a drink order, after our drinks arrived and we ordered appetizers, the waitress asked us to move to a different location due to a party coming in, they should have had reserved on the tables & they did not, headed upstairs and most tables were reserved up there, waitress seemed really confused with orders for larger parties (8 of us so not really big), forgot drinks, forgot getting us water, the entire process of ordering was a disaster, when food finally came - it was cold, no refills of waters or drinks unless asked multiple time and she still kept forgetting, waitress messed up payment with different credit cards and put all the order on one credit card then the next day saw that our credit card was charged too, waitress was apologetic and seemed really flustered, there appeared to be plenty of staff there, food was subpar. The entire experience took us 3 hours to order, get our food and pay! Poor...
Read moreKitchen was really rough to our waitress tonight. Put her behind, and told her incorrect information about the own places menu. It honestly came across as the kitchen staff bullying the new girl.
The food is 5 star, especially the Irish nachos and social burger. It would be even better if they remember everything that is advertised in their menu for what is ordered. I will also add that there does seem to be about 1 thing forgotten or not seen by the kitchen staff even when the waitresses do write it down correctly.
I understand that it can get hectic in a kitchen, but it should not be a 50% chance that everything is going to be correct for the food. Either the kitchen or the waitresses need to be checking the orders before letting them leave the counter.
The drinks are always amazing and the food is delicious. While it is worth coming to as a hole in the wall restaurant, it's best if you memorize what you order so you know you actually get what...
Read moreThe burgers have the right amount of seasoning. They taste fresh right off the grill. (They are not meat loaf balls or charred circles between two rock slices) The cheese curds have a light crisp exterior with a melty cheese interior. The staff is polite and responsive. The atmosphere is relaxed and cozy, however during peak hours the small indoor alley may get somewhat loud and distracting for those who prefer less background noise. The food wait time is exceptional. Afternoon lunch is the best time for a quieter atmosphere, and the evening for more extroverted patrons. Overall this is a good place to grab lunch or dinner. I personally recommend it over its similar competitors. (The bowling alley itself is separated by a sound barrier, and has doors between the restaurant and the bowling alley.) Good place for family, friends, or single...
