Scooter's Coffee — Restaurant in Waterloo

My husband and I went thru yesterday to get some coffee and after that experience, I can confirm that they have some of the rudest, inexperienced staff ever. They were busy and understandably we were in line for a very long time. Once we got to the speaker there was no one on the other end. We waiting and waited and asked multiple times if anyone was there… and there was nothing. We were holding up the line so we had no other choice but drive up to the window. We explained our issue at the window and the First Lady we dealt with was nice and brought it to the attention of the “Manager” that looked to be 16. The manager told us we needed to go back around and wait in line to try and order again.. At this point we had already spent 20 minutes in line. My husband explained the situation and she became very angry and stated that it was our decision to leave the speaker so it was our fault. We explained, again, that literally no one was on the other end of the speaker and she increasingly got more aggravated and started yelling at us that it was, again, our fault. My husband told her to forget it and asked to see a manger in which she replied, very confidently, that it was her. We obviously did not believe her and had her give us the store managers contact information. I get it, it’s hard to get good help these days...

I would have given 5-stars but employees here need some coaching on better customer service when taking an order. Hearing 'anything else' after I have only ordered two things, and continuously after adding anything else, doesn't make me want to come back here especially when they sound aggravated they even have to take an order.

Now to the food...Iced Matcha Tea...AMAZIING!! This is what brought me here in the first place. My boss brought Scooters to a meeting and that was where I first tried it. The Waffle Sandwich was delicious but kind of on the small side. My daughter had the bacon ciabatta and said it was great as well. The cake bites...for almost $3...not worth it. We did the red velvet and birthday cake....not horrible...but definitely had better for cheaper.

Overall the price wasn't too bad for everything for a little nichè chain. I was expecting prices to be higher than something bigger. I will be back for the breakfast sandwiches and the matcha tea, and I will give the other breakfast items on the menu a try as well. May go to other locations to see if customer service is...

I couldn’t be happier seeing a Scooters come to town. I love the new variety and flavors they offer as compared to other options in town. We have been several times this week and it has been excellent every-time however the wait was a bit excessive this afternoon. I understand this is a new business and kinks still need to be worked out and I also understand 3P is a busy time of day for places like this because school has just let out but 40 mins in a drive thru is too long. It seemed like the nitro cold brew was made in a timely manner from when we ordered (mobile order) but when it takes that long before it lands in the customers hand it is not the cold coffee that was ordered. I have no doubt that these issues will be resolved in the coming months but in my humble opinion Scooters needs to offer a separate window for mobile orders to be picked up so if you are in the drive thru, at least you have your coffee at the quality that...
