Oh man, oh man, oh man! Gizzards so good it might be illegal!

While in Iowa, I had a hankering for some chicken the other day. My cousin recommended Chester's. She said that some people were not interested because it's a gas station and convenience store but promised that Chester's chicken was legit.

I ordered a 3-piece dark (spicy) and a 6oz. Bag of spicy gizzards.

The chicken was really good, the skin had a nice light crunch and the flavors popped. I could have done without the roll, which was kinda dry, but the french fries were ok.

But those GIZZARDS! Oh man, oh man, oh man! This stuff is so good it might be illegal! The spices were perfectly hot but not overpowering and there was even a crunch little crust on them!

If I lived in Iowa, these gizzards would be my go-to snack! Good...

When in the mood for chicken, I always go to Chester's on Franklin St. in Waterloo Iowa around 11am. That's when it's fresh, but September 28th 2021 this particular day the chicken and JoJo's tasted as if it was warmed up from the previous night and placed under the warmers to be sold at full price. When they were told about the chicken that didn't taste too fresh they claimed it was fresh. Instead of arguing I threw the chicken and JoJo's away and will never eat...
