RiverLoop Amphitheatre & Expo Plaza — Attraction in Waterloo

This is a fabulous event area that is still surrounded by construction. In a few years it will be unlike anything else in Iowa. They bring in great talent along with food vendors and beverages, and it is always a fun evening. We came for fireworks the weekend after the 4th, and it was one of the best displays I have seen.

Great outdoor space overlooking the Cedar River. There is a fountain park for kids so bring extra clothes and a towel. Music can be heard all around the Amphitheater, not just in the Amphitheater which is nice because you can sit on the grass and still be a part of the show. It does seem difficult for the handicap to get to the actual amphitheater due to parking and ramp limitation. I would like to see more events there and/or...

This is a great place for live shows, afternoon walks, arts events, and playing Pokemon Go. There is a beautiful fountain, and many works of sculpture art are displayed behind the building. There is a playground for the kids which is a LOT of fun! It has little water sprinklers in the summer time.
