Boston House of Pizza? Ever had it?

I want to start this by saying that my entire life, (I'm 29) I've never had a good experience eating at a "house of pizza." Historically, I've always felt like the pizza from these places is questionable at best. So it was natural for me to avoid BHOP when we moved to Watertown. Yes, I know that not all the "house of pizza" places are the same, but it's hard not to lump them together considering my previous poor experiences at places with this style of name.

ANYWAY, OH MY GOSH. This place is awesome. We got an XL bacon, pepperoni, and garlic. The toppings were basically perfectly dispersed on top of the pizza, not to mention there was an absolutely perfect amount of toppings. If you have had pizza anywhere, you know some places skimp, some places overload. NOT HERE. Good work BHOP.

Now, let's take a second to talk about the dough. This dough was the ideal thickness and the ideal amount of cooked. You know that perfect texture on the bottom of the pizza where there's like little craters? That's the best way to describe it. I don't know how to do it. But these folks obviously do.

I haven't been to all pizza places in and around Watertown, BUT I will continue to experiment and explore. So far this has been one of my favorite places to date in the area. The only one really being even close is Pizza Roma which can be very heavy on the toppings, but generally nails all the other variables.

Really happy to have found this place, I will certainly be back.
