The truth is that I found this place typing breakfast on Google maps. We came to Boston for the weekend, family and friends trip from NYC. Since we were staying in Cambridge and we were 8 min away in car. And every single picture looked like this was a place were we could find homestyle American classic breakfast we decided to give it a try. Did NOT disappoint, on the contrary, we were so thrilled with everything that we came in the very next day (meaning today) for a second round. And once again, we left happier than ever. We got coffee and hot chocolate as beverages (do yourself a favor a get hot chocolate!). As mains we got steak and eggs, couple of omellets, couple of two eggs with meats, the diner breakfast with blueberry pancakes and the smoke house bbq chicken (last one from the lunch menu) And after all of that, we dared to try the cinnamon bun and the lemon cake. EVERYBODY was pleased and happy, and it's never an easy task being a group of seven adults. The service was absolutely amazing both days, they were cordial since we walked in the door. Hosts did an amazing job keeping the list (because there was a list, since it was Saturday and Sunday at 10am. Of course there was wait, but it goes by so fast. I promise, its worth the wait!) Servers were wonderful. Kaitlyn took care of us on Saturday and Kenneth was the one on duty for Sunday. Both equally friendly and helpful. I absolutely recommend to give this place a try!

The food here is always delicious! Eggs are cooked spot on, every single time. The specials are creative and delicious! If you're a water drinker, your table is given a chilled carafe of water that is replenished without request. Your delicious, well balanced coffee is refilled without having to hunt down a server. The staff here is extraordinarily well trained and work as a team to ensure you have a great experience. The owner is typically at the door to greet you on the way in and acknowledge you on the way out. Although the building looks like a diner, this is anything but diner food and service! There are varied home baked tea breads and breakfast muffins to choose from, complex specials, upscale ingredients and did I mention the well trained staff? You will never be surrounded by dirty empty dishes or an empty glass. When your electronic check is given to you, no one hovers. You are given the privacy to check the bill and add a tip privately. I hate to share all this...it may cause us to have to wait for a table in the future. But it would be stingy to not share the accolades of this wonderful breakfast and lunch spot. Their weekly specials are so very creative. Think, multigrain toast, slathered with mascarpone, topped with caramelized onions and roasted tomatoes. Served with assorted greens with bright fresh cherry tomatoes and slivers of shaved parmesan in a delicious tangy vinaigrette. Hello Sunday!

I may forget my anniversary, wife's birthday, or when my Amazon Prime renews- but I will never forget March 23rd 2025 as the first day I stepped foot in The Diner at 11 North Beacon.

From the moment you walk into this bustling, popular diner, you know you've picked the right place to eat. The space is full of real people looking to enjoy a really good bite of food. This is not some instagram-trendy type place where people are going to take pictures of themselves or their plates. Instead, it's the opposite, where there are hardly any cellphones in sight and people are actually connecting, speaking with each other.

When you do, ultimately, need to wait for an available space, the team has already thought about you and your experience and has coffee available for you to self serve. Their Waitlist system is fantastic, where you can actually follow along and see how many parties are ahead of you.

Once you sit down, the incredibly kind and expert staff are over in about 10 seconds to get you whatever liquid you need: coffee, OJ, etc.

The specials on the board are worth checking out, as the squash benedict was truly delicious, but their standard diner fare is classic, timeless, and soul-satisfying. It also comes out in about 3 minutes. I couldn't believe how quickly my wife's food came out- I actually thought they gave us someone else's order. But no, it was for her, and when there was a slight delay on my meal, the server took immediate action and gave us a small fruit bowl for the delay (totally not even necessary but so, so appreciated). It only took a few more minutes for my meal, which was well worth waiting (even though, honestly, it was not a wait at all. We're talking about maybe 7 minutes).

All in all, you know you've entered a special place when even in the chaos of a Sunday brunch, everyone is smiling. We...
