I've been lucky enough to always live in a town that had that one clutch "go to" breakfast spot. For the past 20 years, it's been this place. I'm not a big breakfast guy on a day to day basis, but once in awhile on the weekends, I like to splurge and satiate my inner fat guy with lots of dairy and bread.

The menu is pretty standard for a breakfast place, and they always have amazing specials. I know everyone has their like breakfast standard meal; eggs, pancakes, whatever. But seriously, go here and try something that you don't usually order and you will not be disappointed. Everything is good, but if I had to name a superstar here I'd say it's the omelettes. Hands down the best I've ever had. But again, pancakes, waffles, whatever...I've tried it all and it's all good. Also, I'd be remiss if I didn't mention the sides: Their bacon is like meat candy, the shredded hash and hash browns are a perfect compliment to any dish, and the corned beef hash? Well....let's just say that the corned beef hash and I are besties.

Service is on point, and after awhile you'll get to know the waitresses which is nice. It's a small town feel for sure, so if you're from out of town...you might not get it at first. They do get busy sometimes, especially weekend mornings, so you may wait a bit for the food and check, but they never leave you hanging. These are experienced ladies that know how to handle a room. Parking can sometimes be an issue during busy hours, it's a pretty small shared lot. If you can't find a space, your best bet is to park across the street in the Dominoes plaza or in the parking lot of the empty Pizza Hut.

If you live Watertown, eat here...often. If you love close, it's worth a special trip. If you're just passing through,...

Food was lackluster and disappointing. Picked this place while passing through the area because of the 4.4 stars but my food didn't live up to the hype at all. Couldn't order ahead for pickup as their phone was apparently not working. When I walked in, I was asked if I was picking up, so I mentioned that I had tried a couple times but the number wasn't working. The cashier said they were having trouble with the phone yesterday and today. Okay, only mildly annoying but diners are pretty fast about breakfast food, and they were, so not a big deal. Staff was friendly. Took my food to go. Home fries were decent; I ate all of those and the toast was toast as expected, but the bacon in the omelette was just gross. It was tiny, chewy, stringy little chunks. I swear it's like they used pre cooked bacon bits, threw them in almost an inch thick and called it a day. Didn't really eat any of it. Glad I only wasted $12 with tip on a meal I barely ate half of. Also be warned there is a large step up when entering the front door, but no warning sign that I saw for coming in. I tripped a bit since this was my first time there and I didn't know. There was a sign for it as you head...

I ordered simple lunch, I called ahead and was told 15mins. I walked into the restaurant To pick up after about 20mins. No time was wasted cashing me out, however it was followed by over 5 minutes of waiting while I was on lunch for work which is why I called ahead so I can get back to work ASAP. After the 5 minutes my buddy went back to the car seeing as we weren’t being served anytime soon and our van was running. A few minutes after he went back to the van I see the cook put our food on the grill... I waited patiently but at this point my 30min lunch break that I prepared for by calling a head was completely wasted because of them. I didn’t get a sorry about the wait, no explanation on what happened or why, then I finally receive the food with no napkins. Overall costumer service and reliability was obviously lacking quite a bit and they didn’t even seem very busy. The food itself you might ask? Fries sucked. No salt. Grinder roll was good, grinder was...

While in the area, we were hungry for breakfast and decided to give Jimmy’s a try. Loved the no frills, hometown diner vibe right away. They had everything you could want for breakfast on the menu. They did a great job on the poached eggs, and the bacon was nice and crispy. Our one critique would be that the corned beef hash didn’t seem homemade. The food came out quickly and our waitress was attentive. I would definitely come back!

The service is quick and easy, and their breakfast options are out of this world. Prices are great, considering you get a ton of food (great for people who like to take home leftovers). Their shredded potatoes are incredible and I'm a huge fan of their Western omelette (really good if you like a lot of cheese) and shredded ribeye. Their lunch starts around 11 and breakfast continues until they close.
