Mullen's Dairy Bar - Watertown — Restaurant in Watertown

Being new to the area had locals tell me the best place for icecream is Mullens Dairy Bar. Unfortunately I was a very disappointed with my first visit here with my family. My husband order a $6 sundae with one scoop of icecream however it was more like a half of a scoop of icecream three spoonfuls it was gone and considering my little boy ordered a one scoop strawberry icecream cone that was one actual scoop of ice cream we had something to compare a scoop too. As for me I like a traditional plain old Chocolate milkshake however i didn't even get that. There chocolate milk shake is getting vanilla ice cream with 2 squirts of Hersey chocolate and one laddle scoop of milk blended together. which is what they consider a chocolate milkshake. I said to the girl I don't want vanilla ice cream flavor with chocolate... her response is that's how we make them... seriously if I would have ordered a chocolate ice cream cone would I have been given a scoop of vanilla icecream with chocolate squirted on top... I mean if u order chocolate you think you'd get real chocolate. Especially at a place that specializes in Ice cream.... Not artificially flavored vanialla. That again the 2 squeezes of chocolate they put in it wasn't enough to even tint the cream colored to an off white. And the med size wasn't even filled to the top. More than 3 inches shy.... Very disappointed... nothing to write home about with this place. menu Selection good, Prices ok. Customer service decent...value and Portions size fair depending what u get, Quality and taste... just artificially Bad... Bad. Bad!!! Chocolate...

No grownups running the place? Just a bunch of teenagers around, kind of strange. I didn’t think ordering a burger with cheese, ketchup, pickles and onions would be too difficult yet no onions on it. Asked for a soda right away while we wait, was told that sodas were included in the meal. Ok, paid for order. Asked again for the soda for while we wait, was told that we had some sort of special order (burger and fries) so had to pay for soda on separate check. Not sure if paid double because why told something else while ordering and specifically asking for soda while ordering? Gave us restaurant cups for a to-go order. Well I’m honest and asked for a to-go cup for the to-go order. Skinny cups mostly ice. McDonald’s plays the ice game but charges much less for soda. Then given ice cream to melt away while waiting for order. Common sense here, most don’t eat ice cream first so it should not have been given until order is ready. The food was ok, Pricey compared to other burger joints. The $8 banana split didnt have whipped cream, strawberries in the strawberry syrup, or...

Soooo we drove 50 mins from Greenfield/ Milwaukee to go to Johnson's Creek outlets.. after shopping we all got hungry.. soooo instead of going to the usual Arby's or Culver's that's nearby we decided to take a little drive into Watertown and found this little diner type restaurant. It was very packed. So we had to wait a while for our food to be ready. I ordered the chicken wrap of which cost $8 or $9. And it was dry as heck I mean I could make better at home. My husband got a burger of which he said was bland. My daughter got the pizza burger of which she said was very salty. All in all the food was definitely not the best. Bland at best. But the ice cream was pretty good. My daughter is lactose intolerant so we got her a slushie. Never would have thought that they actually put ice cream in a slushie. So my husband got an extra ice cream for himself lol since she couldn't have it and we drove down the block to the gas station to get her an icy. All in all only will probably go back for...
