I have bought from this place because I like to patronize local businesses, but my most recent visit was disappointing. I ordered 2 drinks (milk with boba- very easy to prepare) but was told to pay later because their terminal was frozen. After waiting for half an hour, I went in to check on the order. Turns out it was all ready, but they didn't call me up because "our terminal is frozen". Really? I said, why didn't you tell me, I can pay you in cash. The cashier looked very confused at that and took several more moments to figure out how to handle a cash payment. I asked how much - I was told $10, so I gave a $20 and lo and behold I get less than $10 back in change! I didn't even count it - my companion had an appointment to keep and we had to leave. Maybe I'll just start making my own boba drinks at home. Gave 3 stars because the drinks were good and they were still cold, despite the fact that they sat there on the counter for -not-sure-how-long. I'd say give this place a try because they do have unique food, but allow plenty of time...

We were impressed by the atmosphere of where Mr. Z’s place is located, it looked inviting and a happy place to sit and hang out. Now my Mr. Z experienced. The staff was helpful when asked about choices. The service while ordering was ok, not because the staff but I was new in the place and I did not know how to use the touch screen they use for ordering, and yes I did order the wrong thing for my kids but I did not ask for help either. The crepe I order was great, and when I found out about my mistake, the staff fixed it right away. The place was clean and presentable. However, I was so appalled by the horrible service that I have to write a review. While waiting to get my order (one oreo smoothie) that took over 40 min. to make, the server shut a cover on a counter container and hit a paring knife, causing the knife to fly over the counter plastic guard and hit my son’s head. Luckily, he was wearing his hoodie and was not injured. When I brought it up to the server, she didn’t even acknowledge it or apologize. Another customer standing next to me witnessed the knife flying over the counter and confirmed that it happened.
